It was a rainy December day, but we enjoyed the leisurely pace and friendly guide on the Stockholm food tour. Portions were often quite generous. with a nice mix of dried meats, cheese, fish stew, meatballs, open faced sandwiches, candies, beer, wine and fika. The tour took us through several neighborhoods of the city. I only wish we had been given a list of the establishments we visited so that I could have passed that on to our Stockholm friends so they could try some of the places.
Had an amazing experience! Our guide was wonderful and walked us all around Stockholm, taking us to places we would never have thought to stop in. Our tour was just two of us and one other couple and was both intimate and warm, and was the highlight of my trip to Stockholm. I highly recommend this tour!
My husband and I went on this amazing food tour of Stockholm. Our guide was terrific, very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The tour took in a indoor market where you get to taste cheeses and meats, all local produce washed down with beer. The stall holders were friendly too. We then went on to lunch in another indoor market, Again local food which was great, skagen, fried herring and soup, washed down this time with a glass of wine. We then went upstairs and tried liquorice, sweet and salty that was interesting great wee shop though if you like liquorice which I do. you then continue through the streets of Stockholm to an amazing chocolate shop, where you get to taste chocolates and the hot chocolate, it was scrumptious, and if that wasn't enough we went to a candy store in the the old town. We fortune enough to see the proprietor making candy, and of course got to taste. Then to finish we had 'Fika', Swedes love doing this, it's coffee and usually a cake, we had pastries. I would recommend taking along an appetite and a backpack, we couldn't help but purchase some of the goodies. Highly recommend especially if you only have the weekend like us.
This was one of the best food tours I have been on. Our guide was so very knowledgeable of the area. We got to taste a wide variety of the local cultural foods. All were delicious!
Great tour just don't eat much breakfast before or you will struggle to enjoy all the delicacies on offer. Good way to get a feel for the city and its life. Plenty of walking so you get to pass places to revisit afterwards.
This tour was incredible! Somehow, I managed to be the only one to book the tour on the day I went and had my very own private food tour! While I always enjoy meeting people, this was actually really special as it was my last day in Stockholm. Tessie was a wonderful tour guide and I really learned so much about various historical aspects of Sweden and Stockholm, as well as some rich insight regarding the different foods I was trying. She was very personable and had so many wonderful stories and details to share. The tour had a great mix of savory and sweet, with portions being just right and with enough walking to help you feel like you weren't JUST eating. This was an excellent way to explore the city and get to know various areas while also enjoying some of the best treats and specialties of the region. I would highly recommend this tour as a great way to learn about the culture, the city, and to eat excellent food :

1 Would not have engaged with the vendor and would not recommend others doing so either
Soma had an exceptional knowledge of Stockholm and Swedish history
She had a excellent variety of different kinds of foods and beverages to sample and a history into them
Wide variety of Swedish sweet and savory
Lots of good walking and history of Stockholm
Small group made it easy to be conversational with one another and with Soma
What made this exceptional was the variety of food and Soma's exceptional knowledge of the food and history
The food tour was very enjoyable and our tour guide was great. In addition to having the opportunity to try many different types of foods, the guide was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of local color and good information. It was a fun way to spend the day and we got to sample things we likely would not have found on our own.
Great tour. First time doing a food tour and it was great. I don't recall my guides name but she was great. Young local with a nice feel for the city and food. Everything we tasted was delicious. Also, my group was an really great intimate group of 4. Other tours had at least double our numbers. This was way better and went to the same places. The food was great. Guide was knowledgeable with good english. It was great how we were able to sit and chat and learn about Stockholm food/culture while enjoying the local cuisine. Def recommend.
The tour was great! It was just long enough of a walk through the city, and it got us familiarized with places we wanted to visit afterwards. The food was fantastic! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the places we got to visit. I would recommend this tour to anyone! 5 stars
We did this tour on a rainy and cool day in Stockholm. Our guide Soma handled the conditions amazingly well. She was upbeat and informative beyond our expectations. All of the stops were interesting, and the food delicious. Highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning more about the food traditions of Sweden.
This was our favorite part of our trip in Stockholm. It was a great walking tour introduction to the city even though that's not why we selected it. You do quite a bit of walking so be prepared for that. But the stops we made were fun, interesting, the food was amazing, our tour guide was knowledgeable. We have no complaints except that we wish we could do it again!
This food tour was just excellent. Our guides name was Solma sp please excuse the spelling. She was the perfect. We started at the Salu Hall Andre ended in Södermaim. The last stop was for coffee and had an intimate wine bar tooo. Ate all the traditional foods of Sweden on this 3 hr tour. Don't miss it!!!!!!
Very pleasant Food Tour. The late lunch was a surprise as it was a full on lunch. Perfectly timed as after a heavy lunch we were able to walk it off to the next destination.
I will recommend this tour to anyone.

Nice variety of venues. Guide was very informative and personable. A great introduction to the cuisine of Sweden.
Really enjoyable tour with an opportunity to try lots of different food. I was stuffed at the end - the toast Skagen and liquorice chocolate were particularly good. Wonderful way to spend a few hours!
Absolutely enjoyed every minute of this tour. Our guide, Sama, was informative, entertaining and professional. The foods and locations were spot on as we take these tours to learn about little known hot spots, local favourites, local traditions and background on regional delicacies. Scored a perfect 10 on all points. If you're in Stockholm, don't miss this tour!
What an enjoyable way to get to know Stockholm, meeting new friends and eating along the way! We tasted cheeses, exotic meats, fishes, candies, and ended with Fika - the traditional Swedish coffee break. It was great for walking exercise, yet with plenty of time to meet the other people on the tour. Lots of information on castles, parliament and other buildings along the way. Our tour guide, Dunja, was very personable, knowledgeable and asked about food preferences prior to the tour. Now I know even more about my Swedish heritage. Definitely a worthwhile experience!
We took the best food tour with Soma as our guide. She was enthusiastic, knowledgable about the foods we ate and their history, as well as key historical points we walked past during our tour, and was so personable with everyone on our tour. Soma answered any and all of our questions, and was just adorable throughout our entire day with her! We ate everything from cheeses and delicacy meats common in Sweden, turkey Swedish meatballs, to licorice, chocolates, fish soup, peppermint candy and much more. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Stockholm. I also want to thank this tour leader for helping us get to the tour by way of train and subway. The group was kind enough to wait for us, even though we arrived 20 minutes later than scheduled. Thank you all!
This was a wonderful tour. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Our guide, Soma, was fantastic. You could tell she loved doing what she was doing. She not only informed us about the food but about the history too. There is a fair amount of walking involved but the pace is not too fast and there are frequent stops. I think we made about eight stops. There is plenty to eat. You will not be hungry afterwards. I would not eat a large breakfast before the tour!
Our tour leader provided us with a good deal of information about the foods and food trends in Stockholm. Most unusual was the platter of raindeer and moose meat including raindeer heart and salami. As a non-meat eater, I skipped that experience. I did however taste a bit of the turkey Swedish meatball at a store that only sold products made of turkey. We then moved on to different types of licorice and chocolate. The tour ended in the 'old town' with coffee and pastry. Not only were the tastings interesting, the members of the tour were quite international and interesting, making this a fun filled 4 hours.
Great guide and great tour showing us the amazing food of Sweden. We did the tour the morning after we arrived in Stockholm and it assisted us in getting our bearings in a new city.
First time out of USA and the trip was AMAZING . I so enjoyed the eating tour and our guide. She had exceptional knowledge of Sweden and I look forward to visiting your country again, hopefully REAL SOON
