Meet your guide at Stockholm's cruise port, where you'll board your minibus and head North into Sweden's pristine countryside. As you enjoy the passing scenery, your guide will provide an introduction to Viking culture and history in the area.
Stop in the northern suburb of Täby to view an ancient Viking causeway called Jarlabankes bro. See the elaborately carved runes and then head to Arklis tingstad, where you'll view stones that were once used as seats in the Viking parliament, where arguments were settled and laws were finalized.
In Granby, check out the Granbyhällen, a huge rock decorated with rune engravings that dominates this village from the 5th century. Grab lunch in the nearby Hökeriet cafe (own expense); there's also a vintage store if you wish to do some souvenir shopping.
Next, visit Sigtuna, the country's oldest town, where you'll have some free time to wander the same streets the Vikings did during the 10th century. Then head for Gamla Uppsala and New Uppsala. The former is home to the royal Viking burial mounds, the latter hosts Sweden's oldest church and charming streets for walking and shopping.
At the end of your day exploring Sweden's Viking culture, enjoy drop-off back at the port.
