The tour was awesome! Lucky for me and my wife we were the only ones in the tour that day and it turned out to be a private tour! Our tour guide, Urban, was absolutely fantastic and very very knowledgeable .. he will definitely show you a lot of great places and tell you some stories. Highly recommended!

Great day trip. Smooth pick up and nice little bus to take us around. The tour guide was excellent, kept us all entertained and educated. The areas we visited were beautiful and intriguing. Nice stop for refreshments and very impressed by the old stones and countryside.

Thanks to our expert guide Urban. We learned a lot in this tour although I felt it is an Medieval historical tour more than Viking tour. We had a lot of information and understood more about the viking.

Thanks to the Guide- expert and informative. A busy day but well run and worth experiencing some life outside Stockholm!

We spent a wonderful day with our guide and driver Urban touring Viking and Medieval sights. Urban is very knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to slow down to explain something further. He has an obvious interest in the subject and it shows. I thought the highlight was seeing the standing Viking rune stones and admiring their beauty and practicality. Urban explained what some of them meant and talked about how they evolved over time. Another highlight was the burial mounds in Uppsala. Much taller than I imagined. Having been watching various Viking shows on TV, Urban tried to temper that warrior experience with what everyday life was like for the
Viking, including their parliament and quasi-democractic decision making. When we signed up for the tour it was a Viking sights tour but by the time we arrived it was a Viking and Medieval tour. We privately grumbled about this, but the aspects of the churches we saw were so well explained by Urban that at the end of the day we found ourselves commenting on how interesting they were. We had our lunch break in Sigtuna so unfortunately most of our time was used in finding lunch and eating it. I would have liked another 30 minutes to wander around the town.

The trip was exactly as described and the trip to the farmhouse for coffee and a dessert break was a delight. The Viking burial sites are not sensational but the history was very enjoyable as was our guide's explanation of the runes. Our guide was very well informed and he made the trip so very nice. We also appreciated the guide's information about the country and suburban lifestyles and economy.

Urban, the guide was incredible. His knowledge of the runes, the Viking travels, the royal families, and other tidbits was great. He was actually early for our pickup, and everyone else was early also, so had a good start. We were together for over 8 hours, and there was very seldom a time when he was not giving us some information. He has a good sense of humor. One of the best tours we have taken.

It was a very interesting day. I learned a lot about the Vikings and especially the Runes that they left behind. I chose this trip to get out into the Swedish countryside and experience smaller cities besides Stockholm. I was not disappointed. Urban was an excellent guide. I would have liked to have visited the Viking Museum in Gamla Uppsala. Perhaps that will be another trip.
