Great guide with lots of local knowledge of the towns and places we visited. Good amount of time to explore on our own. Nice van for transportation. Good to only have one high quality wine tasting....it was fun and enough of a tasting for the day's excursion! S.and S.McC.

This was a very enjoyable and informative tour. There were 8 in the group and the tour vehicle was a very comfortable Mercedes Van. Our guide Arianna was a local resident and very knowledgeable regarding the area. The small villages were scenic and charming. A very nice wine tasting at a local wine making spot - we bought a bottle of Pinot Gris that we shared later that evening at the B and B that was delicious. The ride through the vineyards and then up the mountain to the Castle was spectacular. This was a long day, but well worth it.

My husband and I took several tours as we visited three countries. Our experience on this tour was by far the best!! Daniele, our tour guide, set the right tone and pace during this day long tour! She was very knowledgeable and offered some personal anecdotes that made the region come alive! ❤️

This trip was wonderful - I went with my parents and we loved it. Our tour guide Arianne was amazing - she gave us tons of info about the Alsace region and its interesting history throughout the trip. We visited three charming little French towns and a castle, and had a wine tasting session with Sebastian at his winery - a very informative and enjoyable experience. The trip doesn't include a visit to the actual vineyards to see people pick the grapes, though. There's also some climbing to do for the castle visit, but the walking tours of the villages are done at a very easy pace. All in all, if you have a whole day to spend, this trip is a must-do!

This was an excellent tour which my husband and I took in early September. Colmar, Equisheim and Riquewihr are charming villages and worth a visit. Koenigsbourg Castle is very impressive and has a fascinating history. The visit to the small winery was pleasant. Our guide was very knowledgable, pleasant and worked hard to ensure that everyone in the group enjoyed the experience. We enjoyed the tour would recommend it

This was a wonderful day. Our tour guide, Danielle went out of her way to pick us up at Strasbourg Station after there was a change of trains and we arrived late. A lovely day. Thank you.

Our guide, Jean Yves, was a great driver, personable, and very knowledgeable. Colmar is a beautiful Alsatian city. The Wine Tasting was an enlightening and most enjoyable experience. We especially enjoyed the village of Equisheim....it was so quaint and picturesque. We would highly recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic tour with Jean-ques. When he found out we were American he even took us off the beaten path to show us a WW2 memorial along our route. He was knowledgeable and excited and the tour was fantastic. Of our 5 tours in Europe this was the best one. I will return with my wife and hopefully get Jean-ques again.

Just had an excellent tour of the Alsace wine road with our guide Jean-Yves. He knows the area, history and historical figures and is friendly and funny as well. During the one-hour drive to Colmar, he gave us an enjoyable lesson on the local region and answered the many random questions that came up no script here. It was a small group and he customized the content and tour in line with our interests.

We started with a walking tour of Colmar, in the old city. We learned about the typical town layouts and how the streets and houses had different purposes. Lots of things we didn't know. Then to Equisheim for a really tasty Alsatian lunch. We stopped at Dopff in Riquewihr for wine tasting with Daniel, who provided even more details about the history of local wine-making. We wound our way back along the wine road stopping for lots of photos. The small villages are so picturesque, you just can't help yourself.

It was a wonderful way to spend the day and learn about Alsace. We highly recommend the tour and Jean-Yves as your guide.

This is an excellent trip if you want to have a wine tasting as well as be able to visit some fantastic cities outside of Strasbourg. The tour size is small which allows for plenty of quality time with the guide. The cities the tour stops at are simply magical. I would recommend this trip to everyone.

This was an excellent tour. There's about an hour drive up front to get to the first stop, but the drive itself becomes part of the tour as our driver/tour guide did a great job of pointing out sites and sharing some history of the region as we drove. The area is beautiful and the drive was pleasant. Then there are a number of stops during the day beginning with Colmar and a wine tasting of Alsace wines, very worthwhile and enjoyable. Then we moved onto lunch much appreciated after a wine tasting and enough time to walk about a bit to see the village of Equisheim, and then after that onto Riquewihr, another small lovely village on the way to the Castle. The Castle is really worth seeing and walking through, very well restored and interesting to see. One of the best parts of this tour is that it feels personal and unrushed. There is enough time to enjoy the stops, without it feeling like it's lagging either. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy a bit of Alsace and get introduced to the area.

Awesome! This tour was so much fun. Most of which was due to the amazing guide Jean Yves. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly. This tour showcases a charming side of France that made me want to stay longer. C and #39;est Parfait!

We had a great day with our tour guide Jean-Yves, he was so personable and knowledgeable about Alsace. He took us directly into the historic town centres which were so gorgeous with the half-timbered houses and the tour included enough free time to allow you to search out other things. High Koenigsbourg was the perfect end to the day it is full of history and with stunning views across the Rhine Valley to the Black Forest region. Great day!!!

This was a jam-packed day. For the small group tour we had a full bus of 8 people. Each stop was interesting and our tour guide, whose name escapes me at the moment, was a pro at handling all different types of personalities and styles. She was really knowledgeable about the area, history and wines even having worked in vineyards herself. She was also able to keep everyone on schedule, which is difficult with 4 different stops, while allowing for time to wander and enjoy each area. If you want to see a lot of Alsace in a short period of time, I highly recommend this tour.

I can't say enough good things about this tour and our guide. I booked 4 day trips through Viator during a 2 week vacation and this was definitely the best. Our guide Alvaro was exceptional. He was fun to be with and was extremely knowledgeable about the Alsace region, the towns, and their history. The castle was really impressive and the views were stunning. The buildings in these historic towns are so colorful and beautiful. The wine tasting was very enjoyable and informative. The day was definitely full, and I loved it all.

This is a long day, and a bit tiring, but a totally wonderful and worthwhile experience. The tour company did a great job of pulling together a wide variety of experiences ranging from the beautiful castle to villages, a wonderful wine tasting and wrapping up the day with some time in Colmar. Our guide, Alvaro, couldn't have been better as he was knowledgeable and personable. Also, he was very tuned into the needs of each individual in our small group, such as potty stops, etc. For me, the best stop was the High Koenigsbourg Castle, but the other stops were wonderful as well. This tour probably would not work well for individuals who are impaired and not ready to do a number of stairs.
