What To Expect

Learn the history of Sydney and the Blue Mountains from your guides throughout your two days of guided tours. Be sure to bring your camera for great photo ops of top sights. When you book your Sydney city tour and luncheon cruise, make it for the date of your choice, then book your Blue Mountains day tour for the consecutive day, or any date within seven days of your Sydney city tour.

Day One: Morning Sydney City Tour and Sydney Harbour Luncheon Cruise (6 hours)

Start your half-day morning city tour with pickup from your Sydney hotel. Step on board the climate-controlled coach and begin at The Rocks, the historic district where Sydney was founded. Take an easy walk tour in The Rocks. Follow your stroll with a drive that takes past the St Mary’s Cathedral, Royal Botanic Gardens, Hyde Park, Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour, Kings Cross and more.

Take in views overlooking Sydney Harbour when you stop at Mrs Macquarie's Chair. Then drive through exclusive districts like Double Bay and Vaucluse en route to one of Australia's top beaches, Bondi Beach. There, take 30 minutes to stroll the sand or waterfront on your own, then return to Sydney for your lunch cruise.

Your lunch cruise includes a tasty buffet spread with seasonal hot and cold dishes, fresh local seafood, fruit and dessert. Take in Sydney Harbour's top landmarks during the 2-hour cruise, which glides by Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Fort Denison and Shark Island. Your cruise takes place on a spacious catamaran with all the modern conveniences you would expect, including indoor or outdoor seating. Disembark at Circular Quay or Darling Harbour, perfectly positioned to explore more of Sydney on your own.

Day Two: Blue Mountains Day Trip (10 hours)

After hotel pickup in Sydney, enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to Blue Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stop en route for morning tea in Leura, then follow tree-shaded Cliff Drive to Katoomba Scenic World. Ride any of Scenic World’s three attractions (own expense) or simply stroll through the lush rainforest on and elevated boardwalk. Have a restaurant lunch (own expense) while looking over the Jamison Valley and Three Sisters rock formations. After eating, drive to Echo Point for another view of these iconic Blue Mountains landmarks.

Stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park on your way back to Sydney. Have the option to hand-feed kangaroos and emus, and perhaps then take a photo with a koala (own expense). Your coach drops you off at the Parramatta River cruise dock. Board your spacious boat for a scenic cruise that returns you to either to Darling Harbour or Circular Quay.

Great package for 1st time Sydney vistors
Eric_S, Mar 2020
I highly recommend this package for anyone who wants a very robust but well paced adventure covering almost all of Sydney and beyond. The drivers and guides were all very knowledgeable, informative, and entertaining. The tour descriptions and associated costs are explained in detail so you should be prepared. Bring Australian dollars to cover incidentals.
Best Deal

This 2-day combo was a vey good deal. We recently travelled with friends and we were very comfortable and as well as the drivers are on time and very well versed with both the city tour and the Blue Mountain. I appreciate Greg so much for our Blue Mountain tour, he really did a good job with keeping track of everybody and that everybody knows the wheres and the hows of the trip.

Very enjoyable 2 day trip whilst in Sydney with the first day seeing the sights followed by a guided walk around the old buildings in Darling Harbour relating back to the early settlement in the 19th Century. This was followed by a scenic harbour cruise with lunch on board. The second day was a trip to the Blue Mountains which also was enjoyable even though the temperature was 40C +. I would certainly recommend this trip for future travellers

Day 1 city bus tour and Harbour lunch was great. Bus operator was very informative about the history of the city and highlights by neighborhood and major attractions such as Hyde Park and Bondi beach. The Sydney Harbour cruise was top notch for the meal and views. I would rate this day a 5. Day 2 was the Blue Mountain tour which was also informative. I would rate this day a 4. We enjoyed day 1 a bit more than day 2 but overall very good.

My husband and I took the city tour of Sydney. We especially liked the walking tour Sarah took us on through the Rocks area of town. The day was rainy (which was good for them since the bush fires), but Bondi Beach and Mrs. Maqueries chair area were pretty drippy and gray. The tour was very good though. The lunch cruise was okay. I didn’t like having to pay for a glass of soda pop ( small glass and overpriced). That should have been included. We did like seeing the sights from the water. Our second day, Blue Mountain, was just okay. We went to an animal park-too hot for the animals. We also went to Scenic World where we had to pay an extra $49 each for a wristband to get in. I’m not sure what we could have done if we hadn’t bought it since we were there for a few hours. This should be folded into the price ( plus it had gone up $10 each since I booked it!) We took a cable car, hiked a bit in the gorge and admired the 3 Sisters. Just an okay trip compared to other trips we took in Australia.
Highly recommended Viator your group

First day was great. Enjoyed seeing the city and harbor. Second day was raining and foggy, but the stop at the animal preserve was very good. Can’t blame the tour for the weather.
The best of Sydney in 2 days
therisings, Feb 2020
Get to know the best of Sydney in two days. The city tour provided a little bit of history along with popular sites for great photo opportunities. The Rocks tour with Joe was fantastic. Both tour guides, Glenn and Peter F, were knowledgeable and engaging. The three sisters Blue Mountain tour was spectacular and nothing beats petting a Koloa and feeding kangaroos at Featherdale Wildlife Park. The guides also provided ideas for other things to do while in Sydney. Great tour.
Blue mountain is great!

Great way to see the highlights of Sydney! And the trip to the blue mountains should be on everyone’s must see list!
Good value for money
Shari_A, Jan 2020
The city tour was a nice overview and I loved that it went out to Bondi beach. The lunch cruise exceeded my expectations, the food was good and they had several vegan options. Excellent views and a good narrative of the sites we passed. Plenty of outdoor space on the deck for views and fresh air. The trip to the Blue Mountains was amazing. When you arrive, you’re directed to take the skyway to Scenic World, but we chose to walk as we did not purchase the rides. The walk was easy/moderate, over well groomed paved paths. I highly recommend the walk as you see so much more than you do with the rides. There are several fantastic overlooks along the walk. We took our time and went off on a few spurs, but it still only took us 45 minutes. We had to meet our bus at Scenic World at 1pm, and we then drove to Echo Point/Three Sisters and had 30mins there, departing at 1:45. I would have liked to have the option to use the extra 45 minutes to hike to 3 sisters and meet the bus there. Echo Point was very crowded, but good for a quick photo op. Featherdale Park was really fun, be sure to save your animal food (sold for $3 cup) for the end where the kangaroos are. Many people had already used theirs up by then so only a lucky few of us had some to feed the kangaroos. Tip: the kangaroos prefer the pellets in the feed to the hay/grain, so if you separate out the pellets they’ll stay eating from your hand longer. I could have done without the return cruise down the river from Olympic Park to Sydney Harbor. There weren’t enough seats for everyone so we had to stand, and there was very little outdoor space, so after a long day outside it wasn’t pleasant to be inside a crowded boat without a seat or good air flow.
Perfect experience
Maureen_R, Jan 2020
We saw all the things we wanted to and went around the city by sea and by land. We’re happy to do our own walking tour of The Rocks after. Clear blue skies for Blue Mountains, lucky us! The Featherdale Wildlife Sanctuary was an unexpected extra to our own goals, but such a wonderful experience. So many unique animals in Australia. Always wish there was more time, but then we wouldn’t have seen it all😀👍

Many thanks to all who organized this tour on January 16 and 17, 2020. Special thanks to Darren, driver/guide, who made our tour to Blue Mountains enjoyable in rainy and foggy day. He is a smart, funny, and kind man.
Grayline service par excellence!
Bella K, Jan 2020
Our tour guide, Darren was very knowledgeable. He's quite an entertainer too. He seemed strict and unfriendly at first but I think he lives his job and serious at doing it well. The tour was well worth it. Bella and Tommy
This combo is worth the price.

I enjoyed both days of the tour. I had to pay an extra $49 the second day to enjoy the Blue Mountain tour. I wish this was explained when I booked the tour.
1st Day Chaos 2nd Day Smoked Scenery
Charles_W, Dec 2019
On the fist day, at Bondi Beach, 7 of passengers did not heart the instruction from the driver, They waited at the wrong location and missed the bus. The 3 rides at Blue Mountain were unimpressive, just seeing tree tops. Brush fire smoke hampered our view. Other views were also hampered by smoke.
