Australian Wildlife 4WD Tour from Sydney

Koala with a guide

Your luxury 4WD vehicle picks you up from your Sydney hotel to start your Australian wildlife tour. Drive about 90 minutes to reach the Southern Highlands where many Australian native animals can often be found in the wild.

Your expert naturalist guide shares informative commentary about Australia’s history and wildlife as you visit various scenic locales to spot koalas, kangaroos, emus, wombats and the shy platypus, along with other likely suspects such as possums and echidnas.

At dusk, your guide takes you to the best places to see nocturnal creatures as they wake up for the night. With careful use of a spotlight, your guide can locate critters such as wombats and possums as they become active after sunset.

Your small-group tour travels off the beaten track in a luxury 4WD vehicle that provides a comfortable ride. Enjoy frequent stops for photo ops along with rest breaks including lunch or afternoon tea. Soak up the ambiance of a typical establishment in the Australian outback when you have dinner at one of the nation's oldest pubs.

After a day of Australian wildlife encounters, return to Sydney in the evening where your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Had a really nice time on this tour. Although we didn't get to see as much wildlife as we were hoping for during the day, the evening brought out all kinds of creatures. Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Great tour! Highly recommended!

A true wonderful trip. It is a long day so I would definitely plan it during the middle of your trip so you are rested up from your long flight over. Our guide was incredible. The local pub we visited was so cool. The locals were so kind and we enjoyed conversing with them after dinner. To be able to see a Koala bear in the wild was the highlight. We are told not many locals even see that. They are so cute. We saw so much wildlife in their natural habitat made it a more memorable experience.

Will remain on my memory forever as incredible if you love landscape ,nature and wildlife. You head off past lunch to National park in special equipped coach, and on road already see some kangarooh along the roads. As you head onwards, you get through pure bushland and start to view animals, and take some time to walk through eucalaptius woods to see wild Koalas- and indeed we found 15 in some 30-40min only- an experience. During sunset you will find endlessly kangaroohs, wallabys on the road, and in darkness explore to see wombats, opposums, flying fish. You get equipped with special lightening device and just walk through wilderness, or go on car through endless bushlands but with special light device so much to see. Break for dinner at own expense at local pub was lovely too.
One of best trips I ever did and would re-do it for sure

A great tour and guide/driver. We saw wombats, koalas, platypus, kangaroos etc. in their natural habitat. Our dinner stop was also very good in a neat local pub. A long day but worth every minute of it. I would highly recommend it.

This tour was great. We saw different types of animals including my favourite: wombats. We didn and #39;t see any platypuses but with wild animals, they and #39;ve got their own free will!
