Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Great for wine lovers! It's a relaxing and scenic excursion from Sydney that allows you to taste some of Australia's finest wines. The fabulous guide really enhances the experience.
After morning pickup in Sydney, travel by air-conditioned coach for about two hours to reach the Hunter Valley, passing by the Hawkesbury River and an old convict-built road as your coach climbs into the hills.

The Hunter Valley has earned a reputation for great wine and food, making it a popular day tour from Sydney. With your guide, you’ll make the most of your time and visit some of the best establishments in the valley.

During your tour, expect to stop at wineries, such as McGuigan Winery, in addition to enjoying a lunch feast at Hunter Valley Resort. Established in the 1880's McGuigan Wines is now one of the most awarded wineries in the world having won 'worlds best winemaker' three times.

The Hunter Valley Resort lies in the heart of Hunter Valley. View Shiraz vineyards that have flourished there for decades as you dine a delicious lunch with a selection of 5 mains with homemade loaves of bread to share and a glass of wine, beer or soft drink.

Learn about wine-making during a private tour of a vineyard, perhaps taste a flight of locally brewed beers, and keep an eye out for wild kangaroos that your guide may be able to point out to your group.  After lunch, visit Leogate Estate, where you can sample their award-winning wines and hear about their history in the region.

Wrap up your day in Hunter Valley with a stop at Hunter Valley Chocolate Company and sample their locally made chocolates and fudge and see the onsite production room.

Your guide drops you back at your hotel around 6:15 p.m.

Overall, a really good tour option. It was a long ride from Kings Cross to Hunter Valley (made worse because of traffic caused by a truck fire), so having a good driver is important. Jason was the best! Intelligent, funny, and patient, Jason made the trip for us. We loved both of the wineries visited - especially Leogate! Shout out to Vanessa! Lunch at Hunter Valley Resort wasn’t the best. Overall, I’d highly recommend the tour.

This tour was all that was promised! The 2+ hour trip to the Hunter Valley went quickly as Peter T., our tour guide, pointed out points of interest along the way. Peter was professional, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. The flow and timing of the tour worked well with just enough time spent at each stop. There's a great cheese shop at the last winery - an added bonus. The lunch was excellent, too! We'd definitely recommend this tour to others!

Our tour was fantastic right from the go with our hilarious coach driver, Stewart. He picked us right on time and then we proceeded through the city of Sydney to the Hunter Valley with a continuous commentary that gave us insights to the life, history and future of the areas we traversed. At the Hunter Valley we visited the three wineries, each gave us a good insight to their operations, tastings and a good send off with wines and wine related goods. The trip back was through the country to the city with commentary where needed and time to sleep. The on-board WIFI was much appreciated. Well done, and highly recommended!!

It was a great overall trip. We enjoyed the wineries and tastings. The lunch was a little strange - strange as in there were several family style dishes brought out that were different ethnic foods Italian, Asian, etc so it didn't quite match up. Overall though the trip was great!

Loved the tour and bus driver. Thank you to them for reserving the front seat for me, I get sick sitting too far back. The lunch was delicious. ..highly recommend.

We went on this tour as non-drivers who wanted a glimpse of the Hunter Valley Gardens. We chatted with our guide Ben, who was more than happy to help us out and included an extra drop-off, meaning we were able to spend extra time in the amazing gardens we were happy to skip one of the wineries to allow for the extra time. Ben was a fantastic guide, and was very entertaining and informative. The wine tasting was lovely, lunch was fantastic and all in all it was an amazing day. We would definitely do this trip again, especially if Ben was our guide.

An amazing day ! A bit late picking us up, but we'll blame heavy traffic in Sydney for that.
A long day that was made interesting with chat from the driver and our new found friends.
The 3 stops we had were all different and all very interesting.
Don't hesitate, book it... a great way to see the countryside and let someone else do the driving.

Although this trip was through beautiful country and the wine tasting was nice, the trip itself was very long. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to get to the first winery. There was a video to watch about the wine making in Australia but other than that it was a long drive. Our guide was helpful but we felt that in many of the stops we had too much time which only made the tour longer.

A fun day but there is room for improvement. The wine tasting stops were excellent but more time could be spent at the lunch stop given
the amount of food served and the available craft beer tasting. One of the last stops - a garden and gift shop - could be skipped -
the tour leader even admitted it wasn't worthwhile. A long day but good fun on the whole.
