This was a great tour and the perfect size as well! Your time in the Blue Mountains is at Scenic World which is an add-in not mentioned in the above itinerary and at your own expense. I opted to walk the various paths around Scenic World and had more than enough time to reach the bottom of the falls and get back to the bus. The cave tour was fantastic and definitely the highlight of my day. It's an amazing cave I viewed the Lucas Cave to see and the tour guide was awesome. The Blue Lake makes for a great place to eat your lunch once you arrive. Our guide was Peter and he was great pointing out highlights along the way and even stopped for us to take a photo of a kangaroo on our way home.
This was a long day of travel but so worth it. The pictures of cave just don't do it justice so I would highly recommend you to take time out to explore Jenolan Caves in the Blue Mountains. The guides from the bus driver to the caves are very knowledgeable providing you a memorable experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It was a great experience. Was a bit of a rush for the Blue Mountain but had a lot of time touring the Jenolan caves. Remember to bring a jacket cause it is very cold inside the caves. Peter was our driver and guide and he was very informative. He was a very safe driver as well.
Excellent tour! Highly recommend. Had an entertaining and enjoyable time with our tour guide, Tony. He definitely made the trip.
The tour guides driver is amazing and attentive and informational. The trip is amazing to see the blue mountain in 1.5 hours and then able to join the cave tour and it is amazing. Wonderful trip and highly recommended.
This tour was a lot of fun and a great experience. Our tour guides were great and really added to the overall experience. I highly recommend people to join this tour in addition to the Blue Mountains. Just be aware this is not a blue mountain tour, you stop at the three sisters for 30mins but other than that its just the caves. Not cler when booking
had a really good experience with this tour. the caves were very interesting. after the cave our driver took us to a small place where there were wild kangaroos we feed with apples. we could only do this because it was a small tour bus. would do it again. cynthia
Really good tour and tour bus driver coordinator was a wealth of information. However, the bus only had 1 video so it was difficult to see it for information about the Blue Mountains ahead of time if you sit at the back of the bus. Buy the ride tickets with the bus driver as the queue was terribly long so we were glad they had that option. Need more coordination on what bus to get on so a ground coordinator at the start would have been good.
I didn't realize this was a big bus tour. A double decker bus picked up people for all the tours and went to a central location. From there, you go to the bus for your individual tour. This takes some time. Scenic World was really pretty, but expensive for the time spent there. We visited the Lucas cave, which I really enjoyed. There are 900 stairs to maneuver during the tour. Some of the areas are slippery, so be sure to use the hand rails. The stop on the way back to Sydney to feed the kangaroos was fun. Our tour guide Tony made for an enjoyable trip. My drop off point was skipped, so was the last one off the bus. It's a long day, but feel it was worth the time.
The experience I had with the actual tour company Grey Line was terrible. They sent me an email the afternoon a day before the tour to advise my tour with them has been cancelled and replaced with AAT Kings. I asked for more information and they just sent a copied and pasted itinerary - not what I wanted. I called and asked what has changed, do I get a part refund etc. This tour originally had an extra option for a Caving adventure which I paid for. The people with Grey Line's were not empathetic and unhelpful. Pretty much just said we don't do that. You'll still enjoy yourself. This obviously no thanks to them but more of a thanks to the amazing landmarks we got to see. Anywho, we went ahead with the replacement trip. The AAT Kings were pretty unorganised and unimpressive as well. We were told to meet in the morning at a hotel which was not extremely close to where we were staying, so we paid for an Uber there and a rep from the company picked us up in her car and drove us to the bus - which was much closer to where we were staying! Should of just told us to catch an Uber to the bus, would of been cheaper for us. But I guess that was their way of showing good customer service.
The actual tour was an amazing experience. Everything we passed had it's own beauty and story to it. Stopping in little towns and the views we got to see were incredible.
The cave tour was the highlight. Even if you don't love caves, the history and just the overall feeling you get being inside them is once in a lifetime experience.
I contacted Viator about the experience and missing out on the Caving Adventure as when I got there realised it was not apart of the cave tour we did and Viator did all the hard work for me, contacted the company who denied to refund anything and Viator refunded us for the Caving Adventure we didn't take part in as the wording on the website was the issue. Such great service on Viator's behalf. They are trustworthy and ethical. I will continue to book everything through them after this experience. I really appreciate the service Viator gave me. Thank you.
the day started off with a long drive to the blue mountains. the driver will make a quick stop for everyone to get some food/go to the supermarket/go to the bathroom before you get to the three sisters. after 20 minutes viewing the pristine beauty of the valley, you will go to jenolan caves. i really recommend doing the optional caving adventure as that was the coolest part of the tour. the two guys leading it were great- they are very knowledgeable, friendly and truly want you to have a great time. they also provide the hardhat, jumpsuit and flashlights for you so you don't need to bring anything but your adventurous spirit. there is a locker to put all your valuables in before you start caving. you start off with some abseiling/rappelling down a sinkhole 9 meters/30 feet and off you go into the dark, narrow caves where you have to squeeze/maneuver your way through tiny spaces. this was so fun but only 2 hours long so if i ever come back, i will probably do the other day-long caving trips they offer.
Peter the guide was great. The caves were okay. The pictures did not represent what we actually saw. Liked that it was a small group.
