Our tour guide Steve was great. Really knowledgeable about the area and made the trip very enjoyable. :
We took this trip with Mark of Activity Tours. We were a group of 12. All pickups were on time and we made good time to our various stops. We were one of the first groups to arrive at the Featherdale Animal Park so got good views of the native animals. Nice to see Skippy and her mates! We then visited a lookout over the Jamieson valley for some great views over the eucalyptus forest below. Following that we were given the option to go to a cable car lookout where we would have had to pay additional fees to see another view of the same valley and the Three Sisters or visit other valleys. Thankfully we all opted to see 3 other valleys in the area. Mark was a great guide who also enjoyed getting away from the tourists and showing us less known sights. He had those willing do a small trek down a side path to get another view. Beats sitting in a bus all day with no exercise! We had our lunch in a quiet village in the Blue Mountains, at our expense, before getting time to see the Three Sisters. It was nice to see because it is what tourists come for but it was better to have been able to see other views tourists on these tours do not usually get to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and we highly recommend this trip - without the cable car ride and with the addition of 3 more valleys!
Well worth the price of admission!
We had a great time with Steve. It was just a wonderful day trip enjoyed it.
The Blue Mountains to the west of Sydney offer some truly lovely vistas. This tour was also an opportunity for us to get out of the city and experience a little bit of small town Australia. On the way back into Sydney, we stopped to see the Olympic Complex, and we ended the tour with a short boat ride into Sydney Harbor. The tour helped us to round out our Australia experience in a time-efficient manner. We also learned about the Wollemi Pine Trees on this tour. We then made a point of seeing these ancient, rare, nearly extinct trees in the Royal Botanical Gardens in both Sydney and Melbourne.
This was a fantastic day trip with a great tour guide who was extremely knowledgable. Highly recommended.
The tour is totally worth it. Steve was our guide. He is a great guy and youll have tons of laughs while riding from one spot to the next.
Excellant tour, driver went out of his way to make it a good trip!
Fun day starting with a pickup at a nearby hotel. First stop was at Featherdale Wildlife park, where we hand-fed animals and had a photo-op with a koala. We saw a lot of native Australian animals there, too. Next, our driver took us to the Blue Mountains, which are stunning. It is a privately-owned park and quite large, so if you want to explore that on your own, I would recommend going to the Blue Mountains on your own. We did a short hike and went on a steep railway back up.
Then our guide took us to some other viewing points of the Blue Mountains. It was nice to have a local's guidance for those.
Unfortunately, we did not have time to go to the Olympic Park, but did drive by it.
We had a river cruise on the way back. I ordered a beer and enjoyed the sights.
Great trip with a super driver Mark who was very knowledgable. Comfortable transport and all very well organised.
A must trip if you visit Sydney! This small group tour is the way to go. A small van with less people is much better than a crowded bus. Your able to fit into smaller spots where the buses can't fit. I would rate this trip a 10 out of 10.
Steve was such an amazing tour guide and this was SUCH a great tour. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could. It was a small group and our guide made sure we all had a good time getting to know each other. Each stop was more beautiful than the one before and the little towns we stopped in were great. Bring cash to pay for the rides in the valley 39AUD but Steve makes a pit stop early on for you to get cash and use the loo. This was our first tour on our big trip and it became the best one we took over all the cities and places!
The trip was great. Our guide, Steve, was very good, informative and entertaining. We'd highly recommend this tour.
The whole day was FANTASTIC! Especially Steve our guide, he was amazing! Very entertaining and really informative. We have done numerous tours in many countries across the world and consider this to be the best we have ever done. The whole timing of the day was perfect as was the small group. We cannot fault this tour and have already recommended it to people strangers we have met. The 'cruise ' under the Sydney bridge was a very memorable end tho a wonderful day!!
Thanks Steve for a great day
We really enjoyed our trip to the Blue Mountains leaving from Sydney. We were picked up across the street from the Central Train Station right at our scheduled time. The drive up into the mountains was a beautiful one with a stop at the Featherdale Wildlife Park. Being from the USA, California, we were excited to see many of the animals in their natural habitat that we do not have here in the states. The Blue Mountains were beautiful and reminded us of our Grand Canyon only with trees. The rides at Scenic World were fun and exciting, with fantastic views. It was exciting to end the day with a river cruise that took us into the Sydney Harbor so we could see the beautiful view of the Opera House from the water. The whole day turned out to be a very beautiful and fun experience.
Excellent choice. Witty and well-informed guide. Small bus was able to stop at some viewpoints which larger buses could not stop at.
This was a wonderful day, Our driver/guide not only knew the area but was friendly and kind. The mountain views were awesome. We especially enjoyed visiting the wildlife park where we were very close to the animals we were observing. We strongly recommend this tour!
WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Get to see so many places that people living in Sydney have probably not even seen before, and all in one day! Tour guide (Steve) was knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect for anyone wanting to see a lot of Sydney in just one day. Small group setting made it all the better.
Great Tour! Guide knew the area well and explained everything we needed to know about surrounding areas
Our day started out overcast and raining but our guide Steve promised us a sunny day and he delivered. His amiable banter was entertaining and informative and we arrived back at our hotel thrilled with the sights and exhausted. We especially enjoyed the Three sisters overlook. I would have liked to linger in the bar but there was so much to see we had to move on. Great trip and worth the money.
Great day. Saw many things. Our tour guide Steve was amazing and helped make the day.
