Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you had a good time and enjoyed the views of Sydney Harbour.
The vessel that this experience is taken on is a sailing catamaran that has a casual layout on board. Passengers can move around while on board and the layout of this vessel allows for 360-degree views of the harbour. As the cruise is hosted in a casual style, there is no set seat for passengers on board, and the seating is a mix of saloon-style seats, cushions and netted areas - this is the style of the vessel, this is not due to the number of guests on board.
As this is an outdoor activity each experience does differ slightly as it can be impacted by weather. The crew’s priority onboard is to deliver a safe and comfortable experience for all and the elements can change the way the cruise is delivered.
On the evening that you cruised with us, there were some winds that came about while on the boat, and so the skipper needed to adjust the speed and route of the vessel to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. When winds are about, the vessel does need to cruise with caution, and this is just one of the reasons why we advertise the cruise as “a relaxed 1 hour”, as there are so many external factors that impact on the cruise duration. Nevertheless, the cruise returned to the wharf later than planned, giving passengers more time to enjoy the harbour views and more value. The decision to dock the vessel at an alternate wharf (merely 400m from the original location) was also made by the skipper on the day, to ensure safe disembarking of all passengers. This was a location closer to public transport and restaurant venues, and passengers were informed of this change on the day.
The nibbles are served on board at varied times, pending on the route and conditions on the water. The crew determine when they feel they are in an area with calmer water.
While we appreciate your feedback, we do hope you can understand that logistics for an experience on a vessel work differently to that on land, and the crew adapt the cruise to suit the evening, however, safety and comfort will always be the priority.
