Our party of 4 spent the day with Matt. We had a great time. He is very knowledgeable about the sights in and around Sydney. He offered to modify the stops based on our interests. I would highly recommend Matt if you want a fun and informative tour.

Fantastic trip! Matt was knowledgeable, funny, laid back and super flexible about how our day was spent. Very varied, experienced things we would never have stumbled upon ourselves which was great! You have to want yo walk...

You have to want yo walk through the bush. No trails, not much to look at basically in guides back yard. This was way too expensive for what we got and a waste of our valuable holiday time. Don’t recommend.

Dear Deborah, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that this tour was not for you. Our tour is for guests who want an authentic nature and wildlife experience. The bush that you walked in is actually the very well-known Berowra Valley National Park, and is 40km square in size. It is known for its diverse flora, fauna and the fact that it doesn't look like a park with man-made paths. It is certainly not a person's backyard...although if it is, then that person is extremely lucky :) We pack a lot into our tour, such as visiting gorgeous beaches and marine pools, getting up close to Aussie wildlife, dining on great food, sampling gourmet local produce, sipping wine under a waterfall in the forest, and so much more. I always do everything I can to make sure my guests have an amazing time, and based on the lovely reviews and the many guests who have become personal friends of mine after the tour, I believe I have accomplished this. Review for Matt This intimate guided tour of the outskirts of Sydney is the ideal way to see the local gems of the greater Sydney area (not the typical tourist traps). This tour is unique in that Matt customizes the day and activities to your interests. Matt is so passionate and knowledgeable about nature and wild life which really added to our experience. By the end of the trip we felt like Matt was our friend, and would 110% would recommend this tour to anyone in the area. We love you Matt!

Loved the entire day with all of the personal attention from Matt. He was so knowledgeable and entertaining… Included wonderful stops at the animal preserve, winery, waterfalls and beautiful Bayside restaurant for lunch. loved the personal tour without masses of people in a bus tour. Would recommend to everyone😄

My family had a wonderful time on this tour! We enjoyed the bush walk, watching high waves at the beaches and getting close to the animals in the wildlife park which was such an amazing experience for the kids! Matt also took some lovely photos of our family! Very memorable day in Sydney!!

We had an amazing experience on this day trip from Sydney! Matt was an excellent host - very kind, knowledgeable and an all around great guy. He took us to some beautiful spots off the beaten path. There is so much beautiful nature just an hour from Sydney! We would do this tour again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to our friends and family. A day of fun and adventure

We had an exciting and fun day with Matt on this trip. Matt has extensive knowledge of the wildlife, wilderness and of all the beautiful places we saw. The beaches we visited were hidden gems. We had delicious seafood, experienced amazing lookouts and the treks were adventurous. Thanks Matt, for this wonderful experience.

A variety of experiences packed into just one day

We had a fantastic day with Matt. We got to see Aboriginal rock carvings, learn about scribbly gums, and watch Matt sample some termites, hah. Walking up to a beautiful overlook of Berowra Valley was fun, and we learned about native plants like grass trees, including their uses (glue from grass trees--very cool!). Our kids loved Walkabout Park, especially the chance to do an echidna "speed date." We also stopped to see the Sea Cliff Bridge. Our visits to Pearl Beach and Avoca Beach were amazing. The kids loved the chance to play on the sand! The surf was high and wild, so we weren't able to explore the rock pools as Matt had hoped, but it was still something to see the waves smashing against Shark Island. We even saw migrating whales in the distance! He was so patient with all of us and was both knowledgeable and gregarious. Highly recommend this experience!

I cannot say enough about this trip. Matt was an exceptional guide, and all the sites we visited were outstanding. Matt has a good sense of humor, gave options if we wanted one thing over another, and has a very thorough knowledge of the area. Certainly one of the best tours I’ve ever been on! I highly recommend this.

Matt customized every aspect of our day and made everything seamless and spectacular! We couldn’t have been happier and saw amazing sights! Avoca beach took our breath away! The koala experience was hilarious! Matt knew walks and lookouts in the bush that felt super private and local! And how perfect was the wine with oysters and waterfall while sunset chasing??? …. all was magical!! and we will always have this memory as a family. Best tour ever!

Great adventure day! Amazing beaches, lots of animals, hikes through beautiful forests, aboriginal carvings, fishing village, beach towns, and great stops in Sydney. Great overview of the area off the beaten path.

Excellent tour with Matt!

We had a great experience and loved all of the hidden gems that Matt brought us to, especially the wildlife sanctuary. Getting to pet the kangaroos and koalas was the highlight of our trip. We loved how Matt was flexible with our timing and tailored the tour to what we preferred and stopping for coffee when needed. Our lunch spot was delicious too! Matt was very helpful and knowledgeable during and after the tour. His photos he took of us turned out great! Highly recommend!

Amazing tour beginning with pickup at our hotel, feeding birds in the park, and being taken to places few tourists ever visit. Lots of information and sights, I highly recommend this tour! If we ever get to travel back to Australia, I would definitely use Matt for another outing!

Perfect nature day trip out of Sydney

We spent the day with Matt, having come in for a day from a cruise ship. I was with my retired parents. Matt was incredible! He was very personable, full of interesting information, and fun to spend the day with. We were able to see amazing sights, that regular tours do not see. We loved all of the stops on the trip: the 4000 year old carvings, the bush walk, the chance to pet kangaroos and emus, the waterfall, and the 3 beaches, each unique and beautiful. For most of the trip, we were off the normal tourist stops, seeing just a few locals enjoying the nature. We couldn't have found a more perfect tour guide. Thank you Matt!

This tour was EXCELLENT! If you are looking for something off the beaten tourist path, this is for you. We spent the day observing Australia's natural beauty on remote coastlines and natural bush. We interacted with wildlife from kangaroos in the bush to observing seals playing off the coastline. Matt is an fantastic tour guide and a great person, he's knowledgeable about Australia's history and natural environment and was lovely to spend the day with. I will recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney!
