It was a very pleasant trip. The zoo worth to be visited you can spend few good hours there. I want to mention that we had iVenture card and doesn't worth to buy it. They say Swipe and go, there is not such a thing, you have to stay in line at each place you want to visit with everybody else to pick up the ticket. And i lost time going to a certain place to pick up the card, it is probably 10 bucks cheaper for 5 events but too much time lost to pick up the card and then wait in every line like you are buying ticket. When we wanted to go with the Hop on Hop off the bus driver told us that we have to go to a certain location to pick up the tickets for the bus, and that because we had the iventure card, otherwise we could simply pay to him and get on the bus. And when outside is plus 40 C walking to a ceratin location is not very pleasant. Just decide where you want to go and stay in line and buy the ticket, is much easier.
Loved it from beginning to end. Get there early to book the animal experiences. We did the Koalas and it was fabulous. Take the cable car to the top and work your way down. There is still lots of climbing but it is the easier way to do it.
Superb full day trip from the moment we stepped aboard Captain Cook Cruises at Wharf 6 Circular Quay.
We would recommend this trip to everyone
This went smoothly. It's a short but beautiful boat ride and same for the gondola, but both are worth the extra money for an extra fun trip to the zoo.
An excellent trip. Very versatile in boat timings to allow you to enjoy the zoo for as long as you want. Leonie was giving a talk on our boat in each direction and was informative with a delightful sense of humour. A really good way to combine a cruise with a trip to the zoo. Be aware that you will not get close to koalas unless you buy a koala experience ticket at the zoo. The keepers are very knowledgeable. There is a large emu strolling freely about who is a bit scary ! It's a lovely place that has conservation as a focus.
The Zoo was great and taking the ferry is definitely the way to go.
Love this the very friendly staff on the cruise went out of their way to assist us couldn't fault the tour guide Elizabeth was such a pleasant lady
Such a fun visit! We enjoyed going with Captain Cook across Sydney Harbour. The folks were nice and the tour was laid back and fun. We hopped a train to Circular Quay which spits you right out at the warf. Captain Cook cruises was at warf 6 - but it's easy to find once you get off the train.
They take you right over to Taronga and you can take the sky rail up to the zoo entrance. Worth doing I think. The park felt a bit like I imagine Jurassic Park might feel like. : Lots of fun and some great animals to see. We had a blast.
One of the most beautiful zoos in the world. We enjoyed the birdshow, the seal show. Do not miss it if you go to Sydney.
Absolutely brilliant day. Zoo is excellent and travelling to and from on the ferry just adds to the whole experience.
The Taronga zoo is a must do in Sydney! By far the best zoo I and #39;ve ever been to! My personal favorite was the wallaby and kangaroo exhibit, they roam and will come up to you, if you and #39;re lucky you get to pet one! Only complaint is the cruise should have more transport times available. Great value!
Fabulous experience - finding the departure Iocation for the boat was easy and the boat ride was fun and interesting. The zoo was great.
A great day we'll run and very extensive Zoo with loads to see and do
A wonderful day out at the Zoo with beautiful views over Sydney Harbour. Fortunately, it was a fine day and we had a scenic ferry ride to and from the Zoo as well. If you have mobility issues, ask Zoo staff for the map which details the paths that are steepest and plan your excursion. Plenty of animals to see and plenty of rest stops and eateries and conveniences to make for a very enjoyable and family friendly day out. Some of the many school kids on tour were very noisy and I suspected that the animals were adversely affected by the excited and screaming nippers. We did our best to avoid them! Apart from that, we enjoyed our day at the Zoo enormously.
