A few locations have been designated by the Mexican government as ‘Magical Towns’ for their unique heritage and beauty. Your next stop, Tapijulapa, is one of those towns. Follow your guide on cobblestone past red- and white-painted houses, a charming square and hanging gardens. See town highlights including the 17th-century Santiago Apostol Church, and catch local artisans at work crafting wooden furniture.

In the nearby town of Oxolotan, admire the views from the Oxolotan River and visit the downtown area. Hear about the local history as you gaze at the Santo Domingo de Guzman Church and Oxolotan Ex Convent. The former convent is now a museum that houses a small but priceless collection of colonial-era art.
