Ting is great
Learned a lot and enjoyed the day immensely
It was a great trip. Mr. Vincent is very nice and attentive to our needs. Lunch food was tasty, the chef has achieved a number of medals. everything was perfect.
Oh yes. Our tour guide Claire was amazing! She was knowledgeable and she had such a great personality to make all 4 of us total girls had a great time together. She taught us so much and was funny and dedicated with all her customers. I have to say all of us loved the tour very much! Thank you!
Summer made this tour so much fun. She was very personable and made this tour enjoyable. You learn the whole tea making process from start to finish and you even get to practice a performing a tea ceremony. I definitely would recommend this tour especially to those who enjoy the different varieties of asian tea.
We had a great time learning about the whole tea making process and specialities of Taiwanese Oolong tea. Summer, our tour guide made it fun and enjoyable as she was very professional and personable. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially to those of us who enjoy drinking tea.
This trip was totally worth it, and Victoria and our driver went out of their way to make our trip memorable.
We got given lots of information, and got to take part in tea making, see tea fields, meet tea masters, and enjoy lots of tea, as well as have a really great time with our host, and driver. I highly recommend this trip to everyone.
Amazing views on a fantastic trip to the past and present of tea in Taipei. We were incredibly fortunate to be on the tour with our guide Yang, whose knowledge and personality were the perfect complement to the experience. It was a real pleasure to spend the day with him.
Taipei is an excellent city to explore, but if you're there for a week it's a great idea to get out of the city for a day or two to see Taiwan's very attractive countryside. I went on this tour to the tea plantations and also Taroko Gorge. This was an excellent and relaxing day. The cable car up to the plantation has some spectacular views do try to get one of the glass-bottomed cars if you're not afraid of heights, as the jungle below you is very lush and picturesque.
The tea museum was very interesting and its proprietors are very entertaining people with whom to spend an hour. You'll learn about and sample Taiwan's very different types of tea, from white through green to red, as well as tea's history in Taiwan, how it's produced and its importance to the economy. You can also buy some very nice tea as well as teapots and cups here...I wish I'd bought more. The white tea is fantastic.
Lunch in the old town was excellent, with several dishes including the famous local delicacy, deep fried stinky tofu. I ate most of that one. Recommended for the slightly adventurous gourmand.
The views of Thousand Island Lake so named, poetically, for its appearance on a cloudy day, rather than because it has many actual physical islands are magnificent. A truly spectacular and peaceful area.
Finally, we went for a formal tea ceremony back in town. Despite observing closely, when time came for me to reproduce it, I think I did rather poorly. The order in which things have to happen...not crossing the hands during the procedure...plenty to remember!
Gordon was an excellent and attentive host throughout the day.
I'd strongly recommend this tour to lovers of tea e.g. any fellow Brit and beautiful views you'll also come away with a deepened appreciation of Taiwanese culture.
Tour guides were a lot of fun and learned a lot about tea and saw countryside.
The weather was not ideal on the day of our tour, but it did not impact too much on the experience. Billy, our guide was very personable and easygoing and looked after us well. The highlights of the tour for me were the visits to the Tea Museum and Teahouse where we learnt so much about the history of tea and its culture. A highly recommended tour!
Great small tour. Driver and tour guide were very good at their job. They went above and beyond to achieve our expectations and have a good visit in Taiwan. Got to see several sites and learned so much, the tea plantations were definitely a highlight for me. So beautiful! Highly recommend this tour.
What a fabulous start to our Taiwan holiday. Our tour guide, Tina was fantastic and went above and beyond to share unique experiences with us. Although we had thunder storms for most of the day it didn't matter - great food, wonderful scenery and such lovely hospitality. Highly recommended.
The tour guide Fiona is really nice and knowledgeable. She able to answer and attend to everyone's needs. Thumb up for her. Overall the trip is relaxing and no rush factor. Highly recommended to go.
Excellent tour. Our group has only two couple but we have 3 tour guides. Steven is the main tour guide, Fion assists him and we have intern Wally joining us. Nice to have all of them as we can take our own sweet time during shopping without worrying about other group. All of them speak very good English. I'm sure they're proficient in other languages too.
I'm not a regular tea drinker but this is very informative tour. I can really distinguish finer qualities of tea from this trip. I surprise myself and buy some tea to consume back home. Highly recommended.
Outstanding tour, outstanding guide, just a wonderful experience! Thank you so much!
We really enjoyed the tour and the knowledge gained. Chi Chi was a great tour guide and we enjoyed the preparation she put forth on the presentations. It was a great tour and enjoyed all the time and knowledge gained.
Although the weather wasn't great, drizzling all day, we had a great tour, taste testing different teas, seeing the fields where tea leaves were grown, being involved in making noodles, eating noodles, and going on a gondola. Our tour guide was friendly and was very helpful with anything we asked her.
The tour was very enjoyable and the tour guide was knowledgeable. However, I would have appreciated more emphasis on the tea part of the tour, which only happened towards the end. It would have been nice to have the opportunity to actually taste some different types of tea. Perhaps stops in some tea shops where everyone can experience tea tasting could be added to the tour. That would bring the tour up to 5 stars in my opinion.
Our tour guide was really nice and knowledgeable. Very enjoyable tour
Tea plantation, tea mesium, mountain scenery, nice try for tea cook food, given me an enjoyable day, thanks!!
Had a great time on this tour, the guide Kurt was excellent. Gave us a lot of background on the area and took us on two extra stops - to an old street and a temple - which was in addition to the scheduled stops on the tour. Had the best bowl of pork rice while on this tour at a little mountan village. Really wonderful to go outside of Taipei City and to see the beatuiful landscape.
There were three of us guests on the tour. We were expected to pay for the guide's lunch. It wasn't expensive so I didn't make a fuss but I didn't like the attitude behind it. This spoiled the experience for me.
