Make fresh tracks in the snow during a 3.5-hour winter walk in Hida Takayama. With snowshoes on, you’ll walk from a tiny mountain village, home to just 12 houses and paddy fields. Look out for animal tracks, admire the wintery landscape, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, away from town. Numbers are limited to just seven people for a small-group tour.
Meet your guide at Furukawacho Ninomachi in Hida at 12:45, and relax on the journey to a small mountain village, circled by snowy paddy fields.
Strap on your snowshoes, and crunch over the snow as you follow your guide on a winter walk. Taking a path that cuts between the terraced paddy fields and the hills, you’ll find yourself surrounded by nature and a tranquil atmosphere.
Try to spot animal tracks in the snow, and admire the trees of the forest with their leaves laid bare. Your walk finishes back at the start of the route, where your transport is ready to take you back to Hida’s Furukawacho Ninomachi.
Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.
