Well worth the money and was exactly what I was looking for - a tale of Tampa's history and anecdotes as seen from the beautiful canals. Ours was spiced up by a few dolphins

This was AWESOME this is a tour of Tampa bay and Davis island and Harbour island and their history being from the area was helpful . The boat is small to fit under brigdes but is open and easy to see. We did the early morning as lster will be to hot . There is a small canopy on front but mostly open . This is a great way to see Tampa river walk and parks by water .Highly Recommended. This is not a huge aircond ship as it has to fit in small places , they have water but no bathroom. The guide has so much information about the area it was wonderful.

Our Captain was a wealth of knowledge regarding Tampa and it's history. Highly recommended!

Looking for something to do we took the Tampa History cruise. The cruise leaves from a dock (stop number 2 of the hop-on/hop-off water taxi) on the backside of the History Center. The boat is more like a canoe with large sides and a motor. The front has a awning covering an area that seats about 5 people. (There was some junk plastic skeleton on the seat where someone else could have sat under the awning. The rest of the people in the front were out in the sun. The “Captain” offered people suntan lotion. Those people seated in the front were either facing left or right. So if the captain said “To the right.blah blah blah...” those people facing the left could not see what he was pointing out. They could not stand up or they would block the captains and everyone’s view. Because the “bridge” was in the center of the “canoe” there was no way to walk to the back of the boat.

It was a good idea that I found a men’s room before getting on the boat. There is NO restroom facilities on the canoe. They did serve water and soft drinks but since there was no restroom that could present a serious problem.

I absolutely would NOT recommend this sightseeing cruise to anyone.

The cruise is advertised as approximately 90 minutes but was actually more like 70 minutes. When we got on the boat we asked those departing how they liked the cruise - they made a face. Now I known why.

Our boat tour was great! As others have said, Captain Larry was humorous and well-informed. The weather also cooperated. A great way to get a feel for Tampa if you are a tourist

This cruise has a little history and a lot of bad jokes. It has no toilets, no food, and no comfortable seats. In other words, don't take it!

Nice tour. Captain and first mate very friendly and informative. Boat itself could use a little work. All in all a nice tour

Directions to where we would meet the boat were unclear. Only after I called, did the boat and driver come to the dock....
The promised water on board wasnt there...and we were offered warm soda.
Our driver was knowledgeable but he spent quite a bit of time on his phone booking future passengers.
We enjoyed the boat ride but it fell short of a history cruise.

The reception staff were courteous and helpfull. Although not used by us, the hotel's swimming pool looked great and was used by a number of guests. The room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable, BUT for some reason it was the noisest we have ever slept in, every time you turned over it sounded as if the springs were about to collapse --- this should definitely be looked into, also the shower tap was very hard to make work ie turn on. The hotel's dining room and breakfast menu were definitely above expectation. Would we stay there again --- yes. AND the hotel's airport shuttle is an extra bonus.
