We really didn't feel as if we got...
Mary I

We really didn't feel as if we got very much information about the two towns we visited on this tour. We mostly wandered around on our own. There was no commentary from the guide at all on the way home. She answered questions if we asked them, but didn't volunteer enough information. Additionally, the lunch was very minimal considering the cost of the tour. The tour wasn't worth the money we spent on it.

Small Size Transfer Tour: Palermo to Taormina with Villa Romana and Agrigento | Nov 2019
Michele was our wonderful driver who provided a professional, courteous and beautiful ride from Palermo to Taormina. We stopped to view the Turkish Steps, the temple ruins of Agrigento and the Villa Romana. While we were encouraged to stick to the schedule, we were not rushed when requiring a bit of extra time and enjoyed soaking in each experience. Perfect way to travel from one part of Sicily to the other. While it's a long journey - you never tire. Just looking out the window at the beautiful scenery is entertaining. Suggestion: pack a picnic lunch (as we did) to enjoy in the car or at one of the sites. Don't waste a minute of your adventure sitting in a restaurant for an hour plus. Highly recommend this service!

Private Transfer: Palermo to Syracuse with Valley of the Temples Stop | Nov 2019
Our driver was right on time to pick us up at our hotel in Palermo. The stop at the Valley of the Temples was the perfect amount of time (2 hours in our case) to see the amazing ruins. My wife and I both feel that the money spent on the transfer was well worth it.

Erice and Segesta Day Trip from Palermo with Sicilian Food and Wine Tasting | Nov 2019
I can't say enough about this guided trip from Palermo. Our driver/guide was extremely knowledgeable and allowed us enough time to explore both locations. She also provided a name of a private driver for us in Palermo..... much, much cheaper than the white cabs. Don't hesitate to book this tour!!!!!!

Small Size Transfer Tour: Palermo to Taormina with Villa Romana and Agrigento | Oct 2019
Francesco was a great driver. He provided us with materials on the 2 sites we wanted to see and knew the most convenient spots for drop off and pick up. Even though he was not billed as a guide, he was knowledgeable about the areas we drove through and answered our many questions. Picked a reasonable place for lunch and pointed out local favorites. Then bought us popular pastries to try for dessert. We highly recommend him.

Erice and Segesta Day Trip from Palermo with Sicilian Food and Wine Tasting | Oct 2019
Erice and Segesta are both definitely worth seeing and the transport was comfortable. However, the driver/guide we had wasn't particularly friendly or forthcoming. Although this isn't a guided tour he appeared reluctant to even answer questions we had about Sicily and the places we were visiting. As other reviews have commented about other drivers/guides just some basic info from a local really makes the difference between an ok trip and an experience and unfortunately that was lacking on this tour. He also forgot that pastries were included until after we had all made our own way to the cafes in Erice, although he did then give them to us after and offer a refund. The food at lunch was good and plentiful but note there is no tour included in the visit to the olive oil producer, just lunch.

Erice and Segesta Day Trip from Palermo with Sicilian Food and Wine Tasting | Sep 2019
This was a great day tour. Erice was a pretty medieval town to walk around for a couple hours and the included pastries and story behind the cafe there were both good. The lunch was delicious! And Segesta was very scenic...I didn’t realize there was also an amphitheatre there in addition to the temple, which was a bonus to see. Our driver Marco was fabulous!!! Such great commentary throughout the day!

Full-Day Etna Jeep Tour from Taormina Including Lunch | Sep 2019
Simone was a fantastic guide, sharing his extensive knowledge of the volcano and surrounding areas. We hiked to some of the larger craters, about 2000m up. The view spectacular! Bring good shoes for moderate hiking and layers to dress in, along with water. Glad we did this - beautiful and educational.

Great tour of Etna with a great guide who had remarkable knowledge of history of Etna. Unfortunately my wife and I were in the way back of a Toyota suv and it was hard to hear. Hikes had great views. Our lunch was supposed to be included but we had to pay 50 euros.

Erice and Segesta Day Trip from Palermo with Sicilian Food and Wine Tasting | Aug 2019
Erice was the high spot, literally, of this tour. Perched on a hilltop, it's a charming walled mediaeval town with a long, climbing main street with busy shops and tempting pasticcerie. Plenty to interest the historian. Segesta has an imposing location, especially the amphitheatre high up that looks out on to the valley below. In midsummer it's a bit gruelling, even taking the shuttle bus to the top. The driver was friendly, but little in the way of explanations. Lunch on a farm near Trapani was excellent: local produce and especially tasty was the Sicilian caponata. An enjoyable tour.
