Travelled 1st week in Sept 2016. HIghly recommend. Although an early start 0730 pick up from near hotel, the day was well organised and not hectic. This was great for my parents who are a bit slow-paced. The coach was very comfortable, clean and relaxing which made the travelling seem less arduous. Again, a welcome for my parents. Our guide had a great sense of humour. He was ever so friendly with everyone and took time to speak to people personally. For the French tourists, his French was superb! Syracusa is an important place to visit so worth the trip. We had a lovely leisurely lunch on the waterside in Ortygia. In both places you have the option to follow the local guide or roam around at your own pace. There was good amount of time in each place. And we returned to the hotel late afternoon which gave us time to rest/shower/change in our hotel before heading out for another splendid evening in Taormina. The relaxed pace, flexibility, comfort, and friendliness of this trip makes this a great day out and definitely worth the reasonable fees. we all enjoyed it alot. highly recommend
I really enjoyed this tour, especially when we visited Ortyga. We were well looked after on the coach and both guides were really good. I think this was good value for money.
Lovely informative historical day out. Well described by guides on bus and in town and at Archaelogical park.
Transport was excellent. Both guides on our tour were very knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining.
We learnt such a lot on the trip and found it very enjoyable.
Great day and our guide was amazing with so much information that brought history to life.
Would definitely recommend this tour. Saw the Greek theater, archeological park and Ear of Dionysius. Spent the afternoon at Ortygia. Saw the Duomo, Piazza, Fountain, and wondered about the quaint streets.

A very enjoyable day trip from Taormina. After arrival in Syracuse, the large group was met with local tour guide, Eva, who did a wonderful job of describing in detail the various points of interest during the tour, first at the Archeological Park, and then at the old city of Ortygia, which is where the city of Syracuse had its beginnings in the 6th Century BC during Greek domination.
the guide was very informative and made the trip very interesting. all the guides on the trips that I took were excellent
Very well organized and informational. Our guides were good, both our escort and local guides were professional. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the ancient sites.
Well organised. The guides were exquisite. Congratulations and many thanks to them.
trip was wonderful, however, I wish I had known in advance that alfredo would be catering to several different languages. When I booked this trip I was under the impression that English was the tour language exclusively. for this reason, I will be a little skeptical in the future.

Enjoyed this tour as well. Felt like we saw everything. Discovered aranchinas and ate great pizza at the boat tour.
VERY NICE, BUT EXTREMELY WARM. THE BUS DRIVER DID NO PUT THE AC ON
The tour and the guides were excellent. Just enough time to see everything, and free time to go back or relax at the port. Highly recommend it.
An interesting trip, ancient sites and ancient history. It was a long journey from Taormina but just about worth it. The guide had to speak in 3 languages to cover all the nationalities on the trip. He admitted that it's difficult for people, having to wait while he covers the same thing in 3 languages each time. Would have been much not to have to put up with this, but we still enjoyed the trip.

The trip from Taormina to Syracuse had some excellent parts and also disappointing aspects.
We enjoyed the first part in the Greek Theatre etc, however, we then went into the old town without a break.
This made it a very long day and exhausting in the heat.
It was very good value for money and the tour guide was really knowledgable.
The bus was air conditioned and comfortable and we managed to see the main sites in Syracuse that the time allowed
Some wonderful sites to see, but as the weather was intensely hot, maybe a short cut could have been arranged to the centre of Syracuse ?
Nevertheless, the trip was well organised and we got so much out of the visits.
This was a worthwhile tour with about a 1 hour guided tour upon arriving and then ample time to be on our own before heading back.
Our guide Alfredo was a very pleasant and knowledgeable man. He brought the buildings to life.
Interesting tour which we enjoyed. Would be nice if water had been supplied - a little tacky to not have some on board the bus. The Whisper that we had to pay for was far from state-of-the art. Could hardly hear the tour guide with all the static. I have used items like this on many tours and this was the worst we've encountered. Think it's time for an upgrade.
