The Valley of the Temples and Villa Romana are amazing places to visit and should not be missed. It is a long way to travel and the driving part of the trip was slowed due to numerous road works underway but this will make the driving part of the trip much better in the very near future. Despite it being a long day we would still make the effort as the Temples and Villa were well worth it.
A long time on the bus from Taormina, and a long day, but worth it. The Valley of the Temples was fascinating, and the mosaics at Villa Romana deserved more time to view them. The lunch break was too long, and in an area where there was very little to see.
Thoroughly enjoyed the temples, ruins and Villa Romana mosaics. The bus trip is a long one though. Be prepared for delays in pick ups and drop off times due to traffic conditions.
It was a great tour and the guides were wonderful! It was a full day, so take water and snacks for the bus ride. It was very nice to have someone else do the driving because it was a long trip and a lot of walking once you got there but sooo worth it!
Great guide - loved Alfredo! Very good tour and well managed. Enough time and detail at each place without feeling bored and rushed. Definitely recommend.
A very long day, but the two sites were so well worth seeing. Good to be able to find our own way round the Roman Villa, after an interesting description from Santos first.
Highly recommend this tour. 6.30am - 7.30pm. 500km travelled. Long day but worth it. Our guide Alfredo was fantastic, really knew his stuff and looked after us superbly. We travelled in a Mercedes mini bus and was very comfortable . Both attractions were excellent but the highlight was the mosaics at the villa. Haven't seen anything like it. So well preserved. Great photo opportunities. Great scenery along the way. Plenty of comfort breaks. Well done.

Whilst this is a long day tour, I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Sicily. The Valley of the Temples is a much larger area than we were expecting In a good way and the Roman Villa mosaics amazing. The tour also gives you a chance to explore more of the countries scenery. My mum is disabled on crutches so is slower, Elizabeth our guide was fantastic and walked with her whilst we had our tour from the local guide.

A long but very interesting trip to two great places in Central Sicily, showcasing fantastic remains from the Greek and Roman periods of Sicily's history. Tour guide Lisabeth was giving very detailed background information regarding the two locations, while at Agrigento we had a very professional tour guide who brought the ancient sites to life. The trip is also a good opportunity to view the fertile countryside of this region of Sicily. A trip not to be missed.
This tour was a packed day but worth it to see the two site. I would recommend that you stay near the local guide at Agrigento to hear what she has to say and also stay near the Viator guide at Villa Romana to get the most out of your day. For our lunch break, the Al Porticciolo Restaurant was recommended by our guide. I would not recommend going there at all-poor service, mediocre food, and flies galore. It is rated 20/21 on tripadvisor for restaurants in this area and after you dine there, you can understand why it is rated so low.
Worthwhile experience. A lot of walking between the temples on a very hot day. Bring lots of water with you. Enjoyed Villa Romana del Casale and the mosaic baths in the afternoon.
excellent trip! It's a very long day, very hot and lots of walking. Bring plenty if water. Very informative, the guide was excellent!
Long day but well worth the effort. The temples were great but do not do this on a very hot day. I have an arthritic ankle and use a walking stick but I was able to do this tour quite readily. There is a walk of about 2 miles or 5 km. Villa Romana del Casale was an absolute mind blowing experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
I found this day trip absolutely fascinating. Our guides were totally professional and informative. The temples are an amazing window into the past. The Roman Villa and the 3500 sq meters of mosaic simply blew me away. It is a relaxing but incredibly interesting day trip.

This is a LONG trip but it is well worth it. It was interesting to see the landscape in the centre of Sicily. I would never have expected to see these amazing temples outside of Greece. The villa was also described as having well preserved mosaics. This is an understatement! They were amazing as was the whole villa. You can really imagine how it was to live back in Roman times. We had a heavy thunderstorm on the return journey with fork lightning and huge rainbows!

Very thorough and saw everything. I like the idea of eating on your own so you can decide if you want to spend more time eating or touring by yourself.
The day was extremely well organized and interesting and enjoyable.I enjoyed lunch too as the food was good and the setting perfect.
Places visited were amazing. Villa Romana was a delight to see. The best example of roman mosaics ever seen. Guide was professional and local guide very knowledgably Temples Only. Really needed local guide at Villa Romana and more time as only had an hour there. Be prepared for a long trip. Day lasted 14 hours and we were travelling by coach for approximately 9 hours. But well worth it. We enjoyed our day.
I loved the tour but it is really long hours. The driver and our tour guide were very good. The only problem I had was at Agrigento the tour should have lasted more than an hour less-there were people asking a lot of questions in front of every item, in the scorching heat, and I think the tour guide should have been more stern and prompt. Overall the two archaeological sites are amazing! I was very impressed with the driver who drove long hours and despite that he did a great job!
The sites were very impressive. Some better preserved temples than we and #39;ve seen in Greece.
14 hours was a very long day. Listing says 12.
