Meet your guide and small group of no more than 15 people on arrival at the Port of Tauranga around 10am. Soak up the scenery on the around 1-hour journey to Rotorua, driving through the lush landscapes of Mount Maunganui.
The first stop of the day is at Rotorua’s Polynesian Spa, where you’ll have full access to the spa’s geothermal pools, heated to between 97°F/36°C and 108°F/42°C, and renowned for their mineral-rich waters and magnificent views across Lake Rotorua. For the ultimate indulgence, there is a range of spa treatments and massages available, but advance bookings are essential (inform at the time of booking; extra costs apply). You’ll also have chance to enjoy lunch (own expense) at the spa’s restaurant or café before being picked up by your guide.
In the afternoon, head into Rotorua, where you’ll have chance to see the historic Blue Baths bathhouse, the Rachel Spring, and the Government Gardens, full of colorful flowers in the summer months. As you head back out of the city, stop to admire the beautiful Okere Falls, where you’ll have chance to walk the waterside trails and take photos from the viewpoints.
Your tour ends with drop-off at the Tauranga port around 5pm, in time for your cruise ship departure.
