Colin our our guide being well informed about the area and we were able to see most of the area before the rain started in late afternoon.
Was one of the best tours of our cruise trip!!! Many thanks for making our trip pleasant to remember
Fantastic tour. Our guide Colin was very informative and he really made the excursion well worth while.
This tour was excellent. The driver was informative and funny. The views were magnificent.
Collin was great. Personable and a wealth of knowledge. We took a tour in another location the next day where the tour guide didn't know the annual rainfall when we asked. We said Collin would have known!
He was also able to talk and drive safely. A great day with him and only 6 passengers which was another plus.
Thank you, Collin!
This tour was the perfect fit for us, not too long, but with plenty of information about the places and things we were seeing. Interesting to learn about how kiwi grow and the local culture.
Beautiful scenery and views. Great stop at the kiwi farm. Our guide, Colin, wS very informative.
It was more than we could have hoped for. It was a detailed view of Tauranga and lots of cultural and historic information in addition. The pace was perfect and the views were stunning! Could not recommend it highly enough. And Doug, as a long time resident, was a great resource.
Great tour. More to see than I expected. Great views from look-out. Tour guide was a gem ..he knew the area backwards.
Colin our tour guide was absolutely brilliant and really knew Tauranga. He was most informative and spoke in a very calm and easy to listen to voice. Colin went over and above with his commentary and we learned so many things about this town and NZ in general. Thanks Colin for making this Viator tour the best we experienced in NZ.
An excellent excursion, very informative and enjoyable. Our driver knew the area very well and presented it wonderfully. What a beautiful country, just sorry we didn't have more time ashore from our cruise.
Our driver, Colin, was an absolute Gem! He was so informative and gave us lots of information not only about his beautiful part of the world, but also about other New Zealand facts eg economy etc. I HIGHLY recommend this short, but informative tour. As we were only off the ship for 1 day, it was a perfect introduction to Tauranga and surrounds - I especially loved the visit to the kiwi fruit farm! Colin was an excellent driver/guide!!
Whilst the weather wasn't all that wonderful, our tour guide showed the beauty of Tauranga. We visited the Kiwi Fruit Orchard, the Cargo Shed where you could pick up some wonderful locally made souvenirs, and we ate real fruit ice-cream. Very memorable. Well worth the money.
Very informative tour and driver was excellent in his knowledge.
Would recommend this tour highly.
Our guide Doug was excellent, and although we had a rainy day the Mission house and vineyard stop lovely. as was the kiwi ice cream! Disappointed the stop at arts and crafts did not happen, but still lovely informative excursion.
The tour guide has a lot of local knowledge. Not sure if because it was raining that he took us to a few shopping places and stayed longer than required. We expect to see more places in Tauranga than shopping. We blame the poor weather!
Too much wasted in uninteresting places lie the Kiwi Plantation a whole of 35 min doing nothing but buy an icecream, and the Art and Craft stop was also of not much interest as every thing was too expensive for the offerings. And that was another 30 min. wasted.
I would have been happier if we stopped at the Mission House as I think this was more historical than the other places
Found the tour very interesting, but not enough time. Should have done the all day tour
The weather certainly put a damper on this tour. It absolutely poured down from start to finish. We arrived at the kiwi fruit farm and were not able to go any further than the inside fruit market. We were treated to an ice cream which was huge and delicious. We did not see Tauanga as we should have done, but at least we were dry in the coach and if we had not pre-booked this tour we would not have got off the ship!!
No trip to Mount M because of cloud.Instead an extended stay at an aviation museum. The inspection of AKiwi fruit farm consisted of the bus driver standing beside the boundary of the farm for a few minutes behind a road side fruit stall, then onto a craft shop..just plain boring
Unfortunately thumbs down to this tour. Air conditioning didn't work in the bus, no windows to open, very hot and stuffy, coupled with a very distressed child, made this tour unpleasant. We stopped at a kiwi orchard, indulged in a local icecream/yoghurt only to find kiwi fruit wasn't on the menu to be added to our icecream/yoghurt, only frozen fruit, even though the vines were full of kiwi fruit. Another stop along the way was closed by the time we arrived which seemed a waste of a stop except for a breath of fresh air, at that point we just wanted to get to the end.
