An excellent excursion with Stephen, our driver/guide who was informative and amusing! The excursion was all it had promised and Stephen was brilliant, he gave lots of facts about the places we visited and gave consideration to all of his passengers and our individual interests and needs. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.
The tour was very good. Went to a Redwood forest, visited a Moari village. The Moari village was on thermal hot spots and had locals guide us through the village. They did a show of their native dance.
We visited a Maori living village and saw a Maori cultural dance. We also had a Maori guide to talk about their livelihood in the village. We then had a scenic drive around a lake in Rotorua and a kiwi farm. Both the driver and the guide gave detailed descriptions/comments along the way. Additionally, we were given a bottle of water to quench our thirst and kiwi ice cream in the kiwi farm.
The entire excursion lasted about 6 hours. All in all, it's great value and a wonderful experience.
Realy good value enjoyed the thermal springs and the Moira village experience. Loved the dancers and somewhere comedians so it was also fun.Great guide well worth new customers doing.
The thermal springs of Whakarewarewa are just amazing to see!!
Well worth trip especially when compared to the similar one offered by cruiseship company. Relatively smaller group will imply more flexibility. Excellent tour guide with knowledge and care to customer. Easy to find as they are just right outside the terminal. Buses are comfortable.
As usual, Viator excursions were as presented and great value for money. The driver was at the boat ready for us even though we arrived early. We had an extra guide who was learning the route and it was quite entertaining hearing the two of the, chatter -it reminded us of Kath and Kim as it was bizarre at times. We enjoyed the drive to Rotorua and the sights we stopped at along the way. The Museum is still closed due to,the earthquake which was disappointing. Lunch was at our own expense at a cafe on the shores of the river which was average. We visited an actual Maori village and had local guides take us around the geysers and hot pools and explained so much history to us in a very friendly and funny manner.
The trip to Tauranga was amazing. The geyser was very cooperative by spewing at the time of our visit! The staff was very informative and helpful and attentive to our needs. The Maori performance was awesome experience. I definitely recommend this tour.
We wre very impressed with our trip. Our bus driver Eric was very knowledgeable, and went above the norm.Thank you Zealandia Tours.
This tour was excellent. Beautiful drive to get the village experience.
Very knowledgable and informative guide.
Highlight was visit to Maori village, hot springs, dances and songs including the Hakka.
Great, unmissable day.
The trip was as described, and was everything that could have been expected. Our driver and guide, Sue, was excellent, and even sang to us on the way back! The lakeside lunch stop was very good, with time for some sightseeing afterwards. Thoroughly recommended.
highly recommend tour. Went there on a cruise and this was perfect for the day
Fantastic tour. Our guide, Stephen was amazing. Very knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining. Would highly recommend this tour. Pick up from the ship was very well organised.
This was definitely one of the main highlights of our holiday! The tour guide, Graham was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly- once on board his minibus, we were in good hands. He took us to the Rotorua region via a honey farm, kiwi farm and woodland , adding an interesting commentary on the way. He paused the coach for photos whenever a great view appeared, and found an excellent stop for lunch. Walking around the Maori Village to see the hot pools, steam vents, mud pools and geysers was an experience we will long remember. Our village guide was lively, full of interesting snippets of information like how long it takes to cook your dinner in the hottest pool and even gave us a song. The full Maori Performance, too, was fantastic. We arrived back at the dock with plenty of time to look around the town before our cruise ship departed. Highly recommended, a brilliant day.

Well worth it. Saw some of the interior countryside and our visit to the Maori village and watching their native dance were highlights of our trip to New Zealand.
This trip was exceptional ,met on time at the cruise terminal by our driver Nick who was friendly ,informative ,we were taken to a kiwi fruit farm ,former government building ,lunch at a shopping mall, then on to the Mouri Village where we were entertained by the villagers to a concert which was delightful. haki included, tour of the village, hot water springs, houses, only it rained but tour supplied us with ponchos ,last stop was an ice cream parlour very nice, well done Nick wonderful day
Loved this trip. The Maori village was fabulous. The driver was knowledgeable and informative and made the day.
One of the best tours we've had in a long while guides at hot springs were brilliant driver very informative and professionall would highly recommend
One of our favourite stops on our recent cruise. This tour was awesome, the living Maori village is amazing, and the cultural performance a must do.
We had Phillip as our tour guide. As it turned-out, we were the only tour participants. Phillip took us to all the great sites in Rotorua plus a couple of hidden gems on the way back to Tauranga. The time spent at each location was perfect. We saw geysers, Maori, kiwi farm, redwood forest, lake and waterfalls. The cafe by the lake was beautiful and the food reasonably priced. We would highly recommend this tour.
