Great excursion. The red woods were fantastic! Good way to see the sulfur pools and the bubbling mud. Kwei farm was interesting. Gary S. was our driver/guide. He was very knowledgeable. Would do this tour again.

We booked prior to our cruise. Picked up at stop by Gary who made sure we saw everything he could fit in to the time. Great sights and great commentary. Highly recommended for value and sights.

It was a very good and informative tour. It was worth the money and our guide was very knowledgeable.

The tour bus was air-con but rather squishy and uncomfortable. We couldn't hear the commentary which was annoying but we enjoyed seeing the hot springs although not quite what we expected. We weren't rushed to see things and guide was nice and relaxed . The beach stop was rather boring, the kiwi farm ok but we should have been warned you can't take fruit back on the ship. (we ate it for our lunch stop) The redwood forest was good. Hubby enjoyed the foot spa. Overall it was good value for money.

We had a marvellous, interest packed day thanks to our driver guide, Kathryn who was very interesting and factual and went out of her way to ensure that everyone was included and assisted.
I would recommend Viator as a great way to see destinations from the cruise port as a great deal was covered in a relatively short time.
Very much appreciated.

Our tour guide Susanna was fantastic, super friendly, very informative on all the places we visited. The group was a good size too, just the right amount of people to keep moving when we have to. Would definitely recommend using this tour again.

For our small group tour lead by Jeffrey was a great experience from Tauranga to Rotorua.
Our tour guide Jeffrey is a very detail person who knows all the places that we are going.
We all had a wonderful time understand the history from Taurang to Rotorua. Jeffrey
know all the special spots and places that we can see and experience the hot springs in Rotorua.
Highly recommend this tour.

If you want a flavor of the best of Rotorua, this is the right tour for you. We started with a ride by the coast to learn about the plant life and animals that occupy the beach. Then we stopped to learn about New Zealand honey before a ride to Rotorua. We stopped at a lake and could touch and see a crystal clear stream feeding the lake. Then a short ride latter, we were at the amazing hot springs and mud pots. We got to soak our feet in a hot spring, relax and get to know our fellow travelers. We took a break for lunch and then off to viewing the hill side of silver sword ferns, to seeing the lakes in the area and even walking through a redwood forest. This tour is a great way to see and learn about New Zealand.

Guide arrived early and seemed friendly. Everything was okay until he waited until 1:30 to stop for lunch. We started at 9AM so we were ready to eat before 1:30, I ordered and was up-charged for my meal. The worker acted like he couldn't delete the order and made me feel uncomfortable that I wouldn't pay the extra 3.00 that he wanted to charge for my meal. The worker yelled at another lady across the restaurant about the order. How embarrassing. Everyone was done eating in my group when I got my order. The food was so bad that I just left it. The chicken tenders were so bad I challenge you to eat one of them. I had a head ache all afternoon because of no food. I talked to our guide about the food and the up-charge and he didn't seem to care. This place was near no other restaurant or fast food so it was upsetting for me and my group of 6 the whole day. There were only about 4 others in the van besides our group and I know they were not happy about the food either. The guide must have known about the bad food since HE brought a sandwich from home and ate it in the restaurant next to us. The rest of us had bad food. CHANGE THE LOCATION OF THE RESTAURANT FOR THIS COMPANY OR DON'T PROMOTE THEM ON VIATOR! UGH! I have been on many other guided trips and sometimes they stop and give choices of food and give you a time to be back at the van. That works! Too bad we didn't have another choice but maybe the company gets a kickback from this restaurant. Why eat at 1:30? Perhaps it was convenient for the restaurant but who are we trying to please??? I would have been happy to end the trip at 1:30 rather that go all afternoon with nothing to eat.

Our guide was very informative. The tour was well organized. Even though the rain came in the second half of the tour, I still enjoyed it. I like the kiwi farm tour.
