Meet a driver at a Tel Aviv hotel for 6:30am departure, then enjoy views of the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea on the 124-mile (200-km) trip to Masada.
Arriving at 9am, board a cable car to the fortress and explore on your own, visiting excavations that bring the ancient world to life.
Continue to Ein Gedi at 11am, then enjoy an oasis and nature reserve that’s perfect for a short hike; watch for animals such as the Nubian ibex and rock hyrax as you walk. Meet back up for a 12:30pm trip to the Dead Sea, where you’ll have access to a private beach. Float in the salty water, cover your body with mineral-rich mud, and take in the sun at the lowest point on earth.
The last stop of the day is the ancient city of Jericho, where you’ll have a tour of the city’s Biblical sites, and a break to find lunch in a local café (this tour doesn’t include meals, but the guide can point you to a spot with fabulous hummus).
At 4pm, begin the return trip to Tel Aviv, where this tour concludes at the original departure point at roughly 6pm.
