Overview

Ideal for independent travelers, this 10-hour, self-guided tour allows you to visit three of Tel Aviv’s top attractions in only one day. Relax as a driver transports you between the UNESCO-listed Masada, the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, and the Dead Sea, all of which are difficult to reach autonomously. At each attraction, you’ll have free time to enjoy the majestic fortress of Massada, the desert oasis of Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, and the healing properties of the Dead Sea with a self-guiding app. Entrance fees to the Dead Sea beach are included.

  • 10-hour self-guided tour of three top Tel Aviv attractions
  • Ideal for independent travelers
  • Avoid stress and travel between Massada, Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, and the Dead Sea in an air-conditioned vehicle
  • Discover the waterfalls and bathing pools of Ein Gedi Nature Reserve
  • Spend free time at the UNESCO-listed Massada fortress and float in the Dead Sea
  • Entrance fees to the Dead Sea are included

Emerge early and greet your driver in the lobby of the Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv between 2am and 3am — your exact departure time will be confirmed by the tour supplier.

Here, you’ll board an air-conditioned vehicle and relax throughout the 2-hour drive towards the Judean Desert, home to the UNESCO-listed Masada. On arrival at the ancient fortress (entrance fees not included), you’ll have free time to explore the remnants of Roman encampments using your self-guiding app.

After absorbing spectacular views of the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea, return to your vehicle for the 15-minute drive to the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, an Eden-like wonderland filled with caves, waterfalls, and desert oases. Plunge into refreshing springs or hike around the park before reconvening with your driver for your final stop: the lowest place on earth.

At the Dead Sea, float on one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water, whose world-famous mud is said to have exceptional healing properties. Relax on the beach, purchase food and drinks from nearby restaurants, and then return to your original departure point in Tel Aviv in the early afternoon.

It was an amazing experience, but beware - Masada Snake trail is not for the weak. It's a 45-60 min climb on steep stairs. Bring water! You're going to need it. At the mountaintop is the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. After Masada it's 15 min ride to Ein Gedi, which might seem nothing special at first, but the further in you go, more interesting and beautiful it gets. I wish we had more time there, we had about 1,5h to walk around. It was like a little fairytale land.
Dead Sea was unique and unforgettable experience.

Our driver was really cool, too! Told us some interesting stories as we were driving. Thank you!
