It was a wonderful and informative tour. The guide was great!! I really enjoyed the way she gave the information and background. She was pleasant and very friendly.

This was a terrific tour. It took all day and we saw a lot of the countryside of Tenerife. It was interesting to see Las Roquas de Garcia and various other rock formations formed by ancient volcanoes. Our guide, Oliver, had been a guide for 30 years, and what he didn't know wasn't worth knowing! He was excellent. We learned that Canarian bananas are the only bananas to grow upwards, and other facts about native plants. The view of the Masca valley was beautiful, and the winding road upwards was unbelievable. I was very glad I wasn't driving! No time to take the cable car up the volcano, but we knew that, that's why we booked the next tour of Teide National Park unfortunately that didn't either, so that one was disappointing.
The tour was amazing! It was 5 of us traveling and we had the best time because of the great guide--Joaquiam. Weather in November was great and mountains looked breathtaking. If you visit the Canaries, you definitely must take this tour.
This was such an excellent tour and value for the money. The tour guide was AWESOME! I highly recommend this tour.
The tour itself was fantastic and the guide was so knowledgeable and helpful. We saw so much in just one day. I must pont out that you cannot go on the cable car to the summit of Mt.Teide on this particular trip as there wouldn't be enough time to fit everything else in. If you want to do that you need to book a specific tour. The only negative comment I can make is that despite having printed out an online Voucher when we called the local office to confirm the booking they insisted on us going to their office to pick up their Voucher. This would have been a return trip of 5 euros in each direction. Fortunately they eventually agreed to drop this off at out Hotel Reception. Personally I couldn't see the point of this as we already had our own Voucher for the tour. It was a bit like going back in time and totally unnecessary. It would have eaten into our relaxation, which we both desperately needed. Apart from this clitch the tour was worth every last penny/cent and we certainly wouldn't have missed it.
Highly recommend but do not be mistaken that you can take a trip up the volcano as that does not happen due to time restrictions but apart from that a very enjoyable day. We got to see some brilliant sights what we wouldn't see if we did not do this trip. :)
Great trip, awesome landscape, scenic route, especially Masca Valley, plus an excellent driver, Damian.
Things to be considered The guide had to give information on 4 languages which was boring- waste of time and noisy for the other tourists. Also, as specified in your offer, we were supposed to go via Vilaflor instead the guide changed the route Guia de isora just for stopping at a gift shop. On the whole I highly recommend this tour !!!
knowledgable and fun guide.
will not forget the skill of our driver Carlos during the trip into and out of Masca
This tour was interesting but it is not for those who get motion sick while riding in a vehicle. The top of Mt. Teide was interesting climate/terrain, and the Masca valley was beautiful but the bus ride out of Masca was narrow, very winding, yet I was so glad that I was not attempting to drive it by myself oncoming cars had to back up to let the bus pass on tight curves. The guide was so/so and since he had to commentate in 4 languages there was a lot of talking throughout the ride. The pick up/drop off portion of the trip was quite time consuming.
Great tour, lots of info, and some really great sites and views. Bus driver was amazing on the narrow roads. The only thing stopping me from rating this five stars was that the guide had to say everything in five languages!!! So literally everything he said was said five times, meaning all our ears were worn out at the end of the day
- You cover a LOT of ground on this day-trip.
- Driver negotiating turns of the Masca valley was an eye-opener
- Guide was nice enough
- Not a lot of information about the pick up point and the bus that picks you up is not well labelled so wasn't sure I was on the right trip for a while.
- RUSHED in many places, except the souvenir shop. Thankfully there was only 1 souvenir stop
- Not enough time to walk around the Masca valley down to the well, unless you're really fit, and not enough time to explore the base of Mt. Teide
- DO NOT take the offer of the meal where the lunch stop was - bring your own or order what you want instead. The set-meal was very basic and the guy was asking for payment even before we'd finished eating.
This tour was great. We were impressed that the guide spoke so many languages and the way points were very nice. Where were stars lost? We felt our guide could have done with a bit more energy. Also, our bus broke down, which we understand can happen, and we were stranded for a few hours till our replacement arrived.
Landschap was prachtig.
What should have been the highlight of our Tenerife vacation turned out to be an extremely poor experience. My girlfriend and I have long wanted to see Teide, but since I have pulmonary problems, I couldnt go up to the top, so we searched for other options on Viator and found this tour. Because of the excellent reviews, we booked it thinking we were in for a treat
We were picked up 20 minutes late, by a guy pointing us to the back of the bus in a manner that made us feel uncertain that we were even in the right bus.
Then he started talking. We had booked a tour in English. It quickly became apparent that this tour was in several languages. He first said something in Spanish, then repeated it in English, then German, then Flemish. Now, maybe it was because of our placement in the back of the bus. But we could only hear fragments of what he was saying. Most of the time what we heard was him panting, puffing and wheezing words in English barely intelligible over the thick accent. And some of what we did hear was scatological jokes or other such non-tour related statements.
When we stopped in the national park, we couldnt believe our ears. 15 minutes?! Thats the time we have in Teide national park? So we spend a rushed 15 minutes in the park and then we go to a touristy lunch place and spend an hour.
The other stops on the road were totally meaningless as we had no information on anything. We were just dropped off at places without any clue. One of the stops was the old capital of the Island, and we went on a walk with the guide to a white building which he called a monastery. And said You can go inside but it cost money, they say its for the church but I say its for the mafia, hehehe and also, we wont wait for you. The building was a meaningless, ordinary building, and to appreciate them you would have to go inside, so what on earth we were doing there is beyond me.
This was the second worst tour of my life and I sincerely wish we hadnt gone.
I could not find the bus and nobody called may name. There was a huge crowd there and it was very congetsted. Every driver I asked said it was not my bus. I also had not phone number to call to get ahold of a reap person for a situatin like this. II will never use a service like yousr again unless I talk to real person.
Waste of time and money. It was more if a bus ride and actual sightseeing.Would not recommend this to anyone. If you want to waste money go ahead!!
