What You Can Expect

Teide South Side Cycling and Café Tour of Tenerife

Ready to go at the tour start!

Meet up with your cycle group in the morning at Bike Point Las Americas, located in Costa Adeje. You’ll start with safety orientation before choosing your preferred cycle option (road, mountain and electric bikes are available).

Once you’ve gotten your cycle gear, roll onward to begin your island cycling adventure. Over the course of the trip you’ll travel a total of 25 miles (40 kilometers), making a number of stops along the way. Your first stop is at a typical Canarian-style coffee shop specializing in the island’s unique “barraquito-style” brews. You’ll need the caffeine for your uphill ride toward Vilaflor, climbing a total of 2,952 feet (900 meters) through a pine tree forest to this sky-high city.

Once you make it to town, you’ll prepare to head back downhill the rest of the way. You’ll first celebrate your accomplishment with an included lunch of Canary Islands-style tapas. Then let gravity do its work as you ride downhill through the scenic wine and potato fields of this agricultural area. You’ll return to your original starting point at the end of the trip.
