Beautiful views had a fab time and the route at the top was a lovely hike. On the way to teode there are multiple view points where you can stop off and take some nice photos
Excellent trip, very easy to book via Viator and on arrival was shown through to the first cable car really great trip above the clouds
Allow yourself plenty of time for the drive, there are great stops along the way for scenic views and even hikes. I recommend planning one route up and another route back down so you can see even more of the scenery. We arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled departure and actually started the ride up about ten minutes after our scheduled time, not bad given the crowds of people. They do pack you in so try and get near the door so when they start letting you on you get a spot where you get a good view out the window.
Make sure you bring a jacket, wear closed toe shoes with socks and maybe even long pants. It was hot at the bottom but by the time we got to the top the wind was blowing pretty good and it was rather cold. Kids that came up in shorts, short sleeve shirts and sandals were shaking by the time we left.
You are going to over 12,000 feet...so there will be less oxygen than you are used to. If you want to hike to the top after the ride up make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to get used to the altitude and walk up with time left to come down before the last car.
Das war ein Erlebnis der besonderen Art. Schon die Fahrt von Santa Cruz aus auf den Berg war ein Dufterlebnis.... Sollte man, wenn man auf Teneriffa ist, auf jedenfall einplanen
Absolutely loved this experience and thankfully picked a clear day to go to the top. It wasn't particularly busy so we didn't really benefit from the skip the line ticket but I would definately recommend it during peak times because I'm sure it will save you a good hour of queuing. At the base of the mountain there are good facilities with a shop, cafe etc but sadly at the top there is nothing and I think it could well do with a small coffee bar to at least be able to sit out enjoy a drink, and take in the dramatic backdrop, but this wouldn't stop me from visiting again.
This was amazing. The views were stunning and we went on the perfect day. Only a few clouds in the sky but we were above them. We could see the other islands of Gran Canaria and La Gomera. Being at that altitude is knackering but well worth it and we had snow!!
These skip the line tickets would be very useful in the summer, when the cable car is busy, but when we were there, at 10.30 on a January morning, there was no advantage, other than being able to pay in sterling before the holiday began. If you wish to trek all the way up to the summit, remember to obtain and print your permit from the national park authority beforehand, and you will need your passport, for permission to route 10 to the top.
Easy booking online and a good way to skip the very long queue, you need to apply for special licence to go all the way to the summit but well worth it.
The views are spectacular so take a good camera, can be cold up the top even on a hot day.
Still waited about 45 mins in queue but this was considerably less than if I hadn't already bought the tickets. Thoroughly enjoyed it and my girls actually learnt something! Next time I wouldn't mind either going to the top of the crater and/or doing the observatory tour.
Amazing experience to be inside a volcano's crater. No need to skip the line as it was quiet. Would have been good if the e ticket could have been taken directly off of the phone rather than having to email to the operator. You can't access the very top crater unless you book beforehand with the Mt Teide National park. Snow on the top, amazing views as above the cloud line.
Expensive for what it is but boy what a view when you get up there. Told to wear something warm but that wasn't needed even in May. It was lovely at the top of mount teide and I can only assume it gets warmer later in the year. Take a jacket but don't worry too much if you forget to take one you'll be fine. I really enjoyed hiking across the rocks but that part is not for people with limited mobility or health issues but they can just stand and look at the view from the concreted areas. If you're doing the teide national park tour you might as well do the cable car as well or you'll be waiting around at the bottom with little to do, whilst the rest of your coach go exploring!
This trip was amazing. Would advise people to take printed voucher instead of e voucher to save time as we had to email our voucher to the desk as proof of purchase as the evoucher isn and #39;t compatible with their computer system.
Views were stunning had an amazing day.
Hard to access the lower cable car station with only one option for public transportation. There wasn't a real line to buy the tickets so getting it online doesn't really give you an advantage. This also doesn't allow you to skip ahead the actual line that's waiting for the cable car. With that said, Mt. Teide was boss.
The view is breathtaking, and the ride is enjoyable. However, even with the skip the line ticket, we still need to wait more than 45 minutes to get on the cable car. Must have plenty patience.
Please be aware these skip the queue tickets are not fast pass tickets. The only queue that is skipped is the queue to buy tickets which will save you some time, but you will still have to queue for a considerable time to get on the cable car ... we waited around 3 hours, so make sure to take plenty of water.
You skip the general line to buy your ticket. You line up in a much smaller line to exchange your voucher. Saves about 20 minutes. You are then placed in a queue for the cable car. The line moves slowly since there is another fast track line which is continually spliced ahead of you.
We couldn't walk to the mouth of the Teide due to snow, there was such a small space at the top, that it was not really worth our while to have gone up.
