Nikko was a very special day for us. The temples were beautiful, the path up and down the mountain was breath taking, the lunch was traiditional, and the lake and waterfall stops we made were one for the books. While yes, the trip is a bit rushed because time is limited, i do believe once you get back to Tokyo at 7pm you realize the stops are perfectly timed. It is a good daytrip, easy because the meal is provided and the tour guides are knowledgeable. I totally recommend going to Nikko as part of your Japan trip. Whether you book this tour or not it is an amazing little town with lots of history.
This is a long day, but very worth it. Felt like you got a real chance to get away from the city and see some of real Japan. The trip back was 4 hours on the bus traffic is awful, and is aways bad so only do this if you want the very long day. Advice - get the back seats of the bus if they are free to sleep out on.
Excellent tour......professional staff....very good guide .....not only explains importance of sightseeing but also explains culture and history of Japan...........nice approach helpful
A very beautiful autumn day to go there and all the Japanese decided to go the same day. A big traffic to come back and very long hours in the bus. Otherwise, it is to do.
We really enjoyed this tour to Nikko. The temple complex was amazing, and the natural scenery around the lake was beautiful. The authentic Japanese lunch provided was also very enjoyable. Our guide was very informative, and we learned lots about Japan.
Our favorite tour of our whole trip. The variety of the tour was phenomenal and so was our guide. He grew up close to Nikko. We had people on our bus who were always late, but he was very kind and patient. He would have to go get them. The shrine was the most beautiful one I saw during my Tokyo tours. The huge trees were lovely. Lunch was delicious. Did not have time to go to the large waterfall, but the home and gardens at the Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa were very impressive and lovely. The Kirifuri Falls and the autumn leaves were also beautiful.
We didn't get to see the falls because of the heavy fog, but the day was still well spent seeing all the other sites. The falls would have been a nice end to the day, so if you do decide to go, I'll just wish you better weather.
Wonderful Tour !! Nikko is beautiful-mountains, lakes, waterfalls, forests... And the Temples are fantastic !!!
The tour was amazing! This is my first time visit Japan, and i decide my first day are taking this tour. And i can say im fall in love with Japan because the beautiful Nikko. Even the weather is not friendly, its raining. So can not take a perfect pic of Lake Chuzenji. But still i recomended this tour. Perfect arrangement. From the pick up and the scehdule. My tour guide is Merri--japanesse. English is not too good. But she's cheerful guide and arrange all for the whole bus.
Amazing tour, one of the best highlights during my visit to japan ! The temple at the start is one of a kind then tour guide was really helpful in explaining everything about the temple, things that you just see and think they are insignificant. ! The lake was amazing one of the best place I was in. The waterfall was great as well ! the food was amazing .
A fantastic tour of one of Japans most beautiful sights. The guide was excellent in english, and very informed in the history of this area.
Very bubbly and enthusiastic tour guide who gave us and amazing amount of history at each of the places we visited. Great day, highly recommended!
This was a great day trip. Nikko is absolutely stunning. All the stops are well timed but the park is huge so you're only just scratching the surface but what you do see is amazing. Make sure you go into the building with the crying Dragon! Highly recommend.
Absolutely loved this your! The scenery was beautiful and we were lucky enough to see the sakura in full bloom! Our tour guide was wonderful and she was a joy to spend the day with.
Will definitely be doing this tour again when I return.
This tour was great! The shrine, the lake and the waterfall were absolutely beautiful. Our guide Yoko was so informative and very helpful. The lunch option is very worthwhile if you want to try a traditional Japanese meal.
The scope of the tour included many wonderful sights. I especially loved Nikko and the Toshogu Shrine. The guide was very helpful and informative, but was a little difficult to understand as her accent was very strong. I loved the tour and feel it is a very good value for the money.
The tour was a good use of my time. Amy, the tour guide, did an excellent job.
It was beautiful!!!! Just far frim tokyo. About 3 hrs each way. Food in the stalls were yummy. Served lunch was good too.
