Our guide/driver/runner/photographer Ryo was amazing. He gave us lots of information, in English, and even bought us hot tea and water for the ride. He also knew exactly where to stop for great photo ops. We did a long tour and it was really nice seeing the smaller side streets of Asakusa as well as the more popular shrines and temples. It was a fairly cold February day, but out rickshaw seat was heated and we had nice warm lap robes to keep the heat in. We met several members of the rickshaw tour company and they were all so professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo.
This was a great way to sightsee. Our guide was super enthusiastic. One of our stops was at a temple and he showed us the Buddhist cleansing rituals. Very interesting and definitely was something we would not have experienced without him. Also, he took many opportunities to take photos of my husband and I, which we really appreciated!
Extreme fun! They were waiting for us with a sign so it was fairly easy to find. Had a great time and would definitely recommend!
If you are visiting Tokyo, this is one tour you must do, great guide/rickshaw driver. This tour was one of the highlights of our Trip to Japan.
We had a lot of fun. The conductor was very careful going through the traffic. Very informative and very humorous.
The Asakusa rickshaw tour was an amazing experience for our first trip to Japan! We had two rickshaws for the 1 hour tour, and both drivers were extremely cordial and friendly. The tour provided a good view of Asakusa, which we wouldn't have been able to get otherwise, due to our short time in Tokyo and the numerous places that we wanted to visit. Our guides, Ryo and Naoki, were very interactive and customized our tour according to our conversation we had seen geishas the previous day in Kyoto, so our guides suggested substituting other areas of Asakusa for the geisha part of the tour.
GREAT!! The young rickshaw drivers we saw really hammed it up, not just for us but for all the tourists and we/they loved it. They had a Welcome sign with our names on it. Our runner was really a neat guide: educational, funny, helpful. We hope to return someday soon. Five Stars!
Absolutely loved the rickshaw tour by Ebisuya. We were greeted with a welcome sign with our names on it was a lovely touch. Our drivers were Miki and Tai and they were brilliant. My three sons and I took the 1 hr tour and I and #39;m so glad we did. 1 1/2 hours would have been better.
Amazing tour! The directions to get there were very helpful for those unfamiliar with the Tokyo public transportation. Our rickshaw driver, Kentaro, was very knowledgable and personable. He provided added alot of local information and history, and answered all our silly questions with a smile :)
We had Shin and he was absolutely amazing! It was a hot and humid day and it didn't stop him from giving us a full tour of Asakusa and all with a smile. He even taught us a lot about Tokyo in general. Would definitely recommend this for 1 hour out of your day!
