We had a fantastic day with Yeonmi! She arrived with an itinerary but quickly listened to what we wanted and adjusted our day. We covered everything we wanted to see and much much more. Yeonmi is a delightful friendly woman. She has a wealth of knowledge which she communicates extremely well. Thanks Yeonmi! Garrett and Lynn

We had a fantastic day with Yuko-san. She tailored the tour to our interests and we had a very enjoyable time visiting the Imperial Palace Gardens, temples and shrines, Shibuya Crossing and more. She taught us a lot about Japan, including how to get around by ourselves on the subway system which was very handy. Highly recommend this tour as a great way to see Tokyo.

Great walking tour. Taku was our guide and he was great. Very willing to customize the tour to your needs and interests. We so many of the top highlights on our first full day in Tokyo, which made the subsequent days easier. Plus, helped us with various things such as the subway, train system, etc... Highest recommendation.

We had a great time with our tour guide who helped to improve the itinerary with some personal insight. He even performed a Japanese tea ceremony in a garden. Our tour experiences ranged from traditional Japanese cultural things to fun Akihabara. He even knew how the perfect spots for taking pictures. He took the time to teach us how to use the subways/trains and we were able to use them easily the days after the tour.

This was a great private tour around Tokyo. I do a lot of private tours, and Japan Wonder Travel was responsive, flexible, and willing to customize my itinerary. The guide Hiro was friendly, knowledgeable, and acted like a friend taking me around the city to the highlights and some of her personal favorites. She pointed out culinary highlights per my request and really made the day fun. She also helped organize a last minute tour with Japan Wonder Travel the next day for me in Kyoto when my original booking through viator.com failed to confirm. After our very enjoyable day tour, she was kind enough to email me photos of the train station signs I would need the next day to get to Kyoto, and she followed up with me to make sure I had no troubles. My tour to Kyoto was just as enjoyable, and the company followed up with me to ensure I had a good time. I highly recommend Japan Wonder Travel for your visit to Japan!

this was the best spent money . Yuriko was very knowledgable and practical not to mention patient with our family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 teenagers including 2 boys. I asked what I hoped to include and she ensured that and a lot more! We just loved it!!

Our guide Noriko was a fantastic guide and this tour was the perfect introduction to Japan. We took this tour on our first day in Japan. Noriko taught us how to navigate the subway and public transportation system as well as showing us all the sites. She was very knowledgeable of the culture and history of each site. And she had friends at the sites who gave us special treats. I can't recommend a tour with her highly enough! She was fantastic!

If we could give this tour a higher rating, We would!! Our tour guide, Kazu-san was fantastic! This tour was on our very first morning in Japan and was by far the highlight of our entire week long Japanese adventure. Kazu took us to so many places that we would otherwise not know about. He knew many vendors and people around town that made our experience even better. We personally enjoyed talking with him at our lunch spot too. Perfect for the whole family! Great tour, super flexible and the BEST introduction to Tokyo!

We really enjoyed our stroll through the Emperors garden, even though it was January it was beautiful. We live in Guam so cool fresh air is always a treat. The lovely greenery made it more so. We also enjoyed our experience cooking a pancake with our guide Yukio in a local restaurant.
Walking and having Yukio explain everything was the best four hours we spent in your lovely city.

Yuriko was great! She had a lot of cultural knowledge and a lot of ideas for us to choose from since we had a mix of adults, teens and pre-teens. She helped me with our problem with JR rail tickets, then on to Shibuya crossing and walking through the pre-teens streets of Takeshita followed by a great sushi lunch . The next day was going all through Ginza, the food halls of the dept stores, some shops that only a local would know and a great shabu shabu lunch. Her English was excellent she had previously lived in the US and she was great about background and historical information as we walked through the neighborhoods.

Guide was terrific and felt like we got to experience a ton of the city in one day. Great to do in the early days of a trip so you can get familiar with the transit system.

The guide was very friendly and helpful. The tour left us informed and well walked. The mix of market, temples and shopping was good and the choice of restaurant matched what we asked for. A very good day

We had an amazing day with Kazu-San. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and a great guide. We started at the fish market and ended at Akakusa. In between, at Kazus recommendation we went to many places we wouldnt have otherwise known about - eg a sword shop. I would highly recommend this tour and will do it again when I am back in Tokyo.

Our guide Yoshika was amazing, and so was our experience. We opted for the 7-hour private tour and we are glad we took this on the first day of our Tokyo trip. She was very friendly, accommodating, and explained a lot of the traditional customs that take place. She was also very energetic and we enjoyed her enthusiasm throughout the long 7-hour tour.

What caught us off guard is that the guide asked us if we could be so kind as to pay for her transportation fee. Although it wasn't explained in the notes under the tour, we opted to say yes, in fear of the tour guide not providing us with the full tour with all the stops necessary if we said no. However, we did offer to tip at the end of the tour, but she kindly refused saying Japanese don't have a custom of tipping, which actually saved us more money if we didn't pay for her transportation fee at all.

She was such an honest, traditional Japanese guide I would not have asked for anybody else. Thank you Yoshika!

Our tour guide, Yeonmi, was wonderful. She gave excellent suggestions based on our specific interests, and was sensitive to our needs throughout our day tour. In addition to having a fun full day all over Tokyo, we got an excellent foundation on navigating the subway system, and received helpful information all day about Japanese history as well as the modern day culture.

Our tour was with Yuriko and she was absolutely amazing! We had communicated some things we wanted includes on the tour and she easily made a schedule that covered everything. We ended up blowing the schedule at the first stop (too much yummy food!) but she was super accommodating and full of knowledge

Our day in Tokyo was absolutely wonderful thanks to our guide, Naoko-san! We mentioned that we were interested in learning about Japanese food culture, so she guided us through Tsukiji market, explaining each of the different kinds of seafood, fruits, and vegetables for sale and how they were incorporated into Japanese cuisine. She anticipated all of our needs and helped us find the best places to buy souvenirs, try the best street food, showed us where all the good bathrooms were, and even provided us with tissues when we had none. Our walk in Yanaka was especially enjoyable, and Naoko-san explained the structure of the neighborhoods and helped us converse with all the shop owners when there were items we were interested in learning more about she even helped me purchase a sweater that I particularly liked, which I would never have been able to do on my own. At lunchtime, one of us mentioned that they wanted to try authentic sushi, and Naoko-san changed plans on the fly and led us to a quiet, out-of-the-way sushi restaurant where we had a delicious meal and experienced traditional tatami-mat seating. At the end of the day, we managed to lose a backpack on the subway, but thanks to Naoko-sans quick actions we were able to get it back. Our trip was supposed to end at 4, but Naoko-san stayed with us until well past 5 to make sure we were able to recover our missing bag, and even guided us to Harajuku afterward and made sure we were comfortable with getting back to our hotel on our own. She also gave us each little souvenirs at the end of the day! The whole day was a delight thanks to Naoko-san it was like traveling with a best friend rather than a tour guide. Thank you so much, Naoko-san!

The guide was great and she showed up many sites and wanted to know if there was anything specific we wanted to see. We used the subway to get to each place and by the end of the day we were comfortable using the subway ourselves. Our guide took the time to explain how to use the subway not hard at all. and that was how we traveled the entire time in Tokyo. Taxis would have been much more expensive and with traffic, would have taken much longer.

Our guide Yoshika was amazing. Before the tour, she contacted us with a proposed itinerary, which we were able to customize to our preferences. She met us as promised at our hotel, introduced us to the subway system, and showed us the sights of Tokyo. Her experience and knowledge were invaluable in making the most of our short time in Japan. Our children enjoyed the experience of asking questions about Japanese life to a native. She had wonderful suggestions for food and dining, and even helped us plan our time not with her. I would highly recommend Japan Wonder travel and Yoshika. Arigato gozai mas!

Our Private full day walking tour of Tokyo with Yuriko was one of the highlights of our two week trip to Japan, and indispensable to us for enjoying our entire time in Tokyo. Our guide, Yuriko, was lovely--well informed, smart, sensitive to our needs and interests flexible, witty, and very culturally savvy. Because we had already seen Asakusa and the SensoJi Temple, which would otherwise have been on the tour, Yuriko switched in other sights. We covered an enormous amount of ground, with a lot of variety and without getting too tired. We loved visiting Takeshita Street, and the fish market, and tasting the delicious fresh sushi,. We stayed just the right amount of time there, and elsewhere. We learned how prayers are said at a beautiful Meiji shrine, and we had a lot of fun crossing Tokyo's version of Times Square. We also saw a demonstration of the car of the near-future at a Nissan showroom, and had cappuccino with our pictures done in foam. Yuriko steered us to a good restaurant for lunch, and her recommendations for dinners in Tokyo were tops. Since one of our suitcases had gone missing, she helped us shop for replacement clothes to tide us over, and took us to the Mitukoshi department store, where we were amazed by the basement food sections. She also helped us be self-sufficient for the rest of our trip, teaching us how to use the Tokyo metro and taking time, after the tour would otherwise have ended, to make sure we got all the JR tickets we needed for the rest of our two weeks. The tour was very helpful in orienting us to Tokyo and to Japanese culture. It also was very cost effective. We probably saw in one day with Yuriko, stress free, what would have taken us two to three days on our own. We would definitely recommend this custom tour. It was perfectly tailored to our interests and high energy level, and the vegetarianism of one of our party.
