Make your way to Shinjuku Keio Plaza Hotel and greet your guide and group. Climb aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach and listen as your guide sets the cultural scene of the famous studio along the way; hear of Oscar-winning works such as Spirited Away and gain insight into the signature style of the production company. First stop is Hotel Gajoen Tokyo, where the architecture style has served as an inspiration for one of the Ghibli films. Enjoy the lunch at the hotel before heading to Ghibli Museum.

While at the museum, spend two hours exploring the exhibits on your own before leaving for the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architecture Museum. Please note that the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architecture Museum isn’t open Mondays, and Jindaiji Temple or Takahata Fudoson Temple will be a substitute stop in those cases.

Your guided tour ends seven hours later with drop-off in the Shinjuku area.

It was a very beautiful tour. And the most appreciated part was our tour's guide, she told me a lot of unknown and interesting facts

Miki our guide on the tour was very knowledgeable about everything Ghibli and gave us some very insightful tips on how to tackle the entire museum and we were able to see most of it within 2 hours without feeling like we were rushing. the hotel that inspired Spirited away was an amazing plus that i don't think we would have seen other wise.

Our kids 16yr old boy and 17yr old girl were the main reason we booked this tour, but we ended up enjoying it just as much! The museum is beautiful and our guide Mari was amazing! She shared so much with us about Japanese culture so we felt like we got more than just the tour info!

My daughters are big fans of Anime, and Miyazaki truly is an animation genius. The museum is a little ways away for central Tokyo but well worth the trip. The concession stand is always busy, so sitting down to enjoy some coffee isn't going to happen unless you have all day to spend there. Our tour was only supposed to spend a couple hours there, but we took the option to leave the tour at that point and stay on at the museum. Getting back wasn't too hard even though we got lost in Shinjuku station surprise surprise while transferring lines. The lunch was held at a hotel that needs to be seen to be believed, and was a treat all by itself. If I could make one recommendation to the tour operators, it would be to allow more time at the Ghibli museum, since it is one of a kind. Especially if you have fans of the genre in your family.

Miki was a wonderful tour guide. You can tell she really loves and knows a lot about Ghibli films. This tour particularly focused on Spirited away and some of the architecture that inspired the film. We got to the museum before it got super crowded which was great. Miki gave us an overview of the museum which really helped when looking around at the exhibits. Despite it being a very rainy day, we still went to the Edo Tokyo open air architecture museum which turned out to be really amazing and actually really lovely in the rain. I would not skip out on this part if you like history and architecture! The lunch at the hotel was absolutely amazing. The bus was clean and comfortable! Thank you for such a great tour!

We couldn’t have been happier to have actually been able to book this tour. We tried other companies and no one else could actually get us tickets. The museum itself was awesome and we absolutely loved it. Total satisfaction!!

The guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. This tour was good also because it was a one-way tour with returns to your original location by yourself. This was great as there was no rush as we could roam the museum at our own pace. Highly recommended!!

This is the best museum in Tokyo if you love Studio Ghibli films. This is my second time there. The bus took us to the museum and the guide gave us our tickets took us in and told us how to get back to the station to take the train back into the city. The museum usually has a special exhibit so make sure you check. You also get a small film strip as your ticket as a keep sake. Check out the special short movie. Go to the roof. The food is not great but it is themed.
