Meet a driver at your hotel in Tulum, or head to a centrally-located meeting point in Tulum, where you’ll join a group for trip to the Cozumel ferry. Board the ferry for the 45-minute crossing, with unlimited drinks available on board (there will be drinks available throughout the day).
Upon arrival at Cozumel, start a 2-hour snorkeling tour in a glass-bottomed boat, heading to three different reef sites for a diverse glimpse of the island’s fishes and vivid coral. In 2016, Cozumel was added to UNESCO’s network of marine biospheres, and the island is home to amazing marine wildlife (a USD $5 marine park fee must be paid in cash upon arrival).
Following the snorkel tour, head to La Mission, a traditional Mexican restaurant where you’ll dine on sopa de limón, a zesty lime soup, and choose from a menu of 8 main dishes. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to explore Cozumel: find a comfortable place to relax on the beach, browse downtown shops, or explore the island’s small town.
In the late afternoon, catch the ferry to the mainland, where a driver will meet your for the return trip to your original departure point.
