Depart from Kalkan or Patara after morning pickup at your hotel. Travel by air-conditioned minivan for one hour until you reach the seaside town of Fethiye. Take a walk through the large local market for a glimpse of local life and Turkish handicrafts.
Continue another 30 minutes by road to the ghost town of Kayakoy. When Greece and Turkey swapped populations during the 1920s, the Greeks who once inhabited this village moved to Greece, leaving the stone-built houses to fall into ruin. The town is said to have inspired Louis de Bernieres' classic novel Birds Without Wings.
After exploring Kayakoy, visit Oludeniz to see one of Turkey's most popular beaches, the Blue Lagoon. There, have time to swim, eat, or visit a hamam (traditional Turkish bath).
Depart from Oludeniz to return to your starting point, stopping en route at a candy factory that manufactures lokum, aka Turkish delight. You can sample the candy and learn how it is made before continuing to Patara or Kalkan where your tour ends around 5pm.
