I was concerned that this tour viewed only the outside of the building. However, this was not the case. In a small group of seven, we walked inside all the corridors and spaces, feeling like thespians or artistas! Unlike many opera houses, the facilities are anything but cramped. In fact it would be easy to lose one's bearings. Mateo our guide, himself a music student, was knowledgeable and considerate in regard to pace and photo taking. We missed the first session, we were a little late but were able to lock into the next. The building sits gracefully as the vanguard for the seven that comprise the City of Arts and Sciences. We enjoyed watching some of the preparation for the next show, but fortunately, we saw no rehearsals, or even set. However the lovely garden made up for this in some way, It was surprising to learn that the main hall could have the roof open for major entertainment events. In fact all the halls have been carefully planned to be multi functional. I enjoyed the tour very much and admire the artistry, thought and execution shown in this marvellous architecture.
Amazing park, with the futuristic structures. The Palau is very impressive by itself, but being inside of it made it a special experience, especially for someone who understands the challenges of such a construction - my husband does. Didn't have time to experience the depth of Science Museum, plan to have a day to spend.
We took the one hour guided tour inside the opera house and got a very good understanding of the architecture as well as the inner workings of an opera house.
