Even though we were unable to get on the boats for Blue Grotto due to windy conditions the views were spectacular.

Fur our first day to tour around Malta, we joined a tour group that brought us to the Blue Grotto (where we met the fisherman who caught the biggest great white shark ever! His name is Alfredo and I thought he was joking at first but when I googled him, he did catch a 23.4 ft great white on April 17. 1987 - he still had dark hair then). Needless to say, the Blue Grotto was amazing and the light blue waters are just fantastic!

We had a beautiful guide named Janic and she also brought us to the Tarxien Temple to see some ruins, and also to a cave called the Ghar Dalam. This cave was the source of many pre-historic fossils including an elephant species that got locked in the island of Malta during the melting part of the Ice Age.

In the cave, it was a bit dark and slippery in some areas, so it was no surprise when an English lady slipped and fell...but the tourist was okay and was actually with us again the next day.

During this tour, we also met a wonderful couple from Germany and they became our FB friends. We had lunch with fresh fish (included in the tour) in Marsascala, where you get to take pictures of the cove.We also enjoyed Marsaxlokk where we saw the colourful "Luzza" boats with "eyes" painted on them to protect the fishermen. This area also had many souvenir vendors and we were allowed to have some time to shop.

Probably my favourite tour we took in Malta. Excellent tour guide. Lunch was very nice, three courses included freshly caught fish. We were fortunate to have a small group on this tour. Only complaint was AC not very good in the van. Also several of the tours we took including this one, had clients who understood different languages. It got tedious for us, and I think exhausting for our guide to have to go back and forth repeating between French and English. I have been to Marsaxlokk and Blue Grotto several times before and will go back again. Very pretty and picturesque. Learned more about Malta's prehistoric background at Tarxien and Ghar Dalam.

Great tour! The Blue Grotto is so beautiful. I would recommend paying the extra fee to do the boat ride as you get up close to all the wonderful structures and cliffs. Marsaxlokk is a quaint fishing village where we had lunch at a great restaurant. The fish was extremely tasty. We had a little too long to walk around the village but I think it was more so because of the time of year small tour and few tourists which gave us a lot of extra time. The temples and Ghar Dalam were so interesting and our guide was great about giving us very good information about all of the sites.

Johanna was a good tour guide and managed the German/English language mix of participants very well. I enjoyed the tour and the lunch.

Good tour. Very informative. The guide was very competent and knowledgable about the Malta's history, in general, and the history of the visited sites, so we received a good chunk of interesting Information.

This tour is a great way to cover alot of bases all in one day. The tour guide was very informative and all the sights were beautiful... Only slight criticism was the lunch, little bit of a let down, and was delayed because the restaurant wasnt organised. But definitely worth doing if you arent familiar with Malta.

could of been made more interesting, spent a lot of time on museum chats were really there was little to see. The guide worked hard but owing to the sea conditions no boat trip was possible, lunch was good part took along time for the full service.

The tour itself was great because the local guide was great. Viator, however, was NOT great. Once I booked and paid, Viator washed their hands of the process, instructing me to call the local guide company IN MALTA at least 24 hours in advance to confirm pickup and failing to provide an email address for said guide company. RIDICULOUS!!! No one who is traveling should have to call another country to confirm details. I sent Viator an email which they got around to answering a week later too late!!!
The tour was 5 stars and Viator wax 1 star.

This trip was advertised as being in an Air Conditioned Coach. NOT. We were in a cramped minivan with NO cooling. The temperatures that day were extreme and inside the van we recorded 35 degrees, very uncomfortable.
On the plus side, the guide was very informative.

Great vistas etc but weather not in our favour on day of trip, so no sailings out to grotto and caves. Other options to compensate such as visiting the temples at Tar Sheen; just unfortunate that weather not best to do mainstream visits. But do recommend this tour to enjoy this part of the island of Malta.

We did find it interesting and gave a different perspective to our knowledge of Malta, however we were
disappointed to be with a group of only French speaking tourists, which resulted in the guide giving more time and attention to her explanations to them, in fact toward the end of the tour we had to remind her that she had made no explanations on various things in English

Apparently, the tour company decided to reduce costs by combining both German speaking and English speaking clients on the same tour. Interesting sites but an ineffective way to conduct the tour. Also, would be better to have a guide who is more enthusiastic and better trained on the subject.

The Guide seemed disorganised and there was no real information given on what was coming next, it felt uneasy. The Staff where we had lunch were mostly rude and someone at my table had to ask at least 3 times to also receive their only meal, long after the rest of us had eaten the first 2 courses.

Pick up at the hotel was later than stated, with no explaination given. This caused the entire tour to be rushed by the guide so as to reach our lunch location by noon. Upon completion of our tour the guide left us at the Gozo ferry terminal explaining that our transport back to our hotel would be by in 10 mins. it took 30 mins for the bus to arrive. Not very professional!!
