Explore some of Malta’s most beautiful places on a half-day tour of Palazzo Parisio, Clapham Junction, Buskett Gardens, and the Dingli Cliffs, where you’ll have sweeping views of the coast from the highest point on Malta. This tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off at selected towns, entrance fees, and a coffee break with pastizzi, a traditional Maltese savory pastry.
  • Half-day tour of four Malta highlights
  • Visit a historic castle
  • See a prehistoric site and natural woodland
  • Stand on the island's highest point
  • Coffee break and Maltese pastry included
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off in selected towns
Meet a driver at your hotel for morning departure, then board a vintage bus towards the first stop of the day, the Palazzo Parisio. Learn about Malta’s historic nobility while touring the elegant palace, where you’ll find an ornate ballroom, a family chapel, walled gardens, and an orangery.

From the palace, continue to Clapham Junction, or Misrah Ghar il-Kbir, a mysterious prehistoric site with deeply gouged rocks, and no words or pictures as clues to the former inhabitants. Next, drive to Buskett Gardens, where you’ll find a pretty forest in a fertile valley, with fruit trees scattered among deciduous varieties.

Before continuing to the final stop of the day, pause for coffee and a traditional savory pastizzi, then head to the Dingli Cliffs. Take in the 17th-century chapel of St. Mary Magdalene, with dramatic views to the uninhabited island of Filfla, then begin the return trip to your original departure point.

Palazzo Parisio was a real highlight. Really glad I had a chance to visit this "palace." It was a nice tour to some interesting places and great scenery. The wooden "bus" was a bit uncomfortable, but overall a relaxing tour with a very nice guide. If you are interested in a different kind of sightseeing tour and want to avoid the big bus tours, this could be fun.

We had an enjoyable morning and this tour plus two routes of the Hop on Hop off bus allowed us to see a great deal of the island. The tour leader was very informative.

The description given in the overview of this trip is not wholly accurate. You do not visit the Palazzo Parisio garden and the only part of Buskett Gardens you see is a limited view from the cafe next to the car park. According to Viator the trip we went on was correct but the overview has not been amended.

This was a most unusual tour but it was really enjoyable. We went off in an old fashioned boneshaker bus and took in most of the island starting with the interesting Parisio Palace and ending with coffee and pastries in the Buskett Gardens. The guide was very informative and gave us plenty of time to look around. The only minor downside was that we didn't see Clapham Junction - it was not mentioned and we have no idea where it was as we later realised we'd forgotten to ask!

Very fun small group tour! Would recommend anyone to go on this tour. Rode on a fun, cute, blue ferry. The Tour guide, Mario, was very informative throughout the trip and answered any questions we had. Great tour for pics and history.
