What You Can Expect

Half Day Tour of Valletta Malta's Capital City

The Great Siege Bell

Meet a driver at your hotel for departure between 8:30am and 9:10am, then travel to Valletta, Malta’s capital city (exact departure time varies with location, see Booking Details). Upon arrival in Valletta, stretch your legs on a walking tour through the historic center, where you’ll find Baroque architecture blended with mannerist, neo-classical, and modern designs.

Learn about life and culture in Valletta as you stroll alongside your guide and group, then get sweeping views of Grand Harbour from the Upper Barrakka Gardens. Step inside the great entranceway to St. John’s Co-Cathedral, where you’ll find “The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist,” an enormous Caravaggio painting hung in the cathedral’s oratory.

The final stop is The Malta Experience, an hour-long audio-visual show that brings 7,000 years of Malta experience to life—it’s a perfect way for first time visitors to learn about the island. Following The Malta Experience, meet back up with the driver for the return trip to your original departure point, where this tour concludes.

You can do the city on your own -- tour guide was good but too many people and talked to much vs seeing the city --- 4 hour tour but 2 hours is transport

3 star rating: Worth doing October 2016

Tour was okay, but I have done better. Guide was reasonably informative, but it would have been nice to have someone who was a bit more passionate about their subject. When we visited St Johns we were stood next to a group with an animated tour guide who was giving them loads of info about artists etc, and i kind of wished were in their group! It was also quite irritating having to have everything repeated in Italian as not all our group spoke English.
