This pass was not worth the money or hassle. It took us until the second day to find a staff member who could print our tickets. When I called customer service they couldn’t get in touch with the worker who was supposed to be at the designated spot and I received a lecture about why they prefer us to go to a different location. Agents at their “preferred” pick up location were not very friendly. It just wasn’t the activity for us. Buses only go one direction so be warned that it takes a long time to return to your original departure location.
The Vancouver Trolley was a fun way to see the park and the city. Just make sure that you get on the right trolley that just does the city and just Stanley Park. It was somewhat confusing as to to where to catch each of the trolleys. It was not relayed to us that you can catch it at Canada Place and that we were told to catch it in Stanley Park and had to take the city bus to get there. Canada Place was near the Skytrain and we would not have had to catch the city bus. The signs for the Vancouver Trolley Hop-on Hop-Off are through out the city and Stanley Park. We did the two day pass.
Simon, our driver and tour guide, was excellent. However it was really depressing to have to see people lined up for a bus and unable to get on. It was so bad, we were afraid to get off for fear of ever getting back on another bus. However, Simon was very gracious and kind but could not help them. In spite of that, the bus is a great way to see the city and visit various locations IF you stay on the bus.
We have never been to Vancouver and this was the way to see it!!!! The trolley stopped right in front of our hotel and it was on time. The drivers were very good, informational, and didn't mind answering questions. We enjoyed the free Ferry ride and Granville Island. Trolleys were easy to catch if you hopped off. We took the Hop On Hop Off with Stanley Park Carriage Ride and Aquarium. The carriage ride with the beautiful horses was wonderful and the driver did a fabulous job sharing all the information as we passed through the park. As young Seniors, so glad we took the ride, because we got see so much of the park that we would never seen had we tried to walk. The Aquarium was really enjoyable. Don't miss the 4-D film presentation.
Would highly recommend this tour. Loved Vancouver because of this tour!!!
