My wife and I had a wonderful time on this amazing excursion! The seaplane was really awesome as it was a really nice morning and you were able to enjoy the great scenery and landscape from the sky. Victoria really made the trip worth it though, the city has a really fun feel and some nice shopping and street vendors. We took the shuttle to the gardens and the driver was very witty and informative. The gardens were gorgeous as expected and the boat ride back was nice with some whale sightings that we stopped and checked out. We would highly recommend this trip for anyone, we were a little nervous since its a little on the expensive side... but it was definitely worth it!!
Dear Mr & Mrs. Moore,
It's so great to hear that you both had such a wonderful time in Victoria and the gardens as well.
As you mentioned, spending time and money on an experience is a very wise way as it makes our life worthy and valuable. Yes, it's a pricy tour, but it's worth and could be a lifelong experience as you described. Especially seaplane ride is quite romantic and the boat ride too! We really appreciate for sharing your wonderful experience with us. Hope you safe back home and bring back home many good memories as well. Thank you for visiting Canada!
We loved the seaplane, we loved the speed boat, we loved butchart garden, but we really felt rushed. we only had time to see a speedy tour of the parliament building, the fisherman's wharf and the Empress Hotel. we didn't see much of anything else because we had to get on the bus to Butchart gardens which we had to run through to get to get on the boat. Next time I would take the seaplane over, stay over night in Victoria, do the hop on and off tour, then buchart the next day and take the boat back One thing we didn't appreciate was on the hotel pick up we were five adults that fit comfortably in a pacifica van, however on the pick up at the end, they expected to add 2 more men in the vehicle which meant we were going to be crammed into the van which would have been awkward with complete strangers. So our party of 3 decided to opt out and told the driver we would take a cab. For what we paid for the tour, they either should have sent a larger vehicle or only taken 5 passengers. I realize the pacifica is technically an 8 passenger vehicle, but the 2 center seats are not conducive to large adults.
Thank you for your valuable feedback on your Victoria trip. Great to hear that you enjoyed your tour except for a few things. So sorry to hear this.
Not enough time, yes, it could be but It's the regular schedule for this tour because of the timeline of the seaplane and boat from Butchart Gardens. However, you could leave Vancouver early in the morning, but if the guests don't request it when they book, as guests know the departure time and return time, we keep the original schedule. We know you had several places to explore Victoria as the city is full of things to see and so wonderful as is. And you are right!! If you want to see more of Victoria, it's a good idea having overnight stay in Victoria and return later days. You can check this ability with us before booking. You can come back the next day or two later. Some guests do like that if they have enough time. And if you were uncomfortable for the return to pick up as there are many guests in a van, we are truly sorry about that. We don't pick up guests like that as we have other bigger fleets. If we use a bigger van than the minivan, we can't park the van at the parking lot just in front of the arriving dock and the guests need to walk for 7-10 minutes to the bus parking lot. The parking lot we were waiting for you only allow cars and minivans. we had 2 minivans that day for pick up the guests and two guests could move to another van. Thant you very much for your comments on the pickup issue and we'll do our best for fixing this issue. Next time you come back here again, please call us. We'll serve you with a better service. Thank you again for your feedback and thank you for visiting BC, Canada. Hope you bring back home many good memories and safe back home!
Fantastic seaplane ride to Victoria. Had a great walking tour of the city. Bus ride to Butchart Gardens was very informative and entertaining and the gardens were spectacular. The speed boat ride back to Vancouver was nice even though we didn't have any whale sightings. The gentleman who picked us up and brought us back to our Airbnb was very professional and made sure everything went according to plan.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience.
It's great to hear that you had a good time in Victoria and Butchart Gardens as well. Yes, the bus ride to the Gardens with narration is very helpful to know about the gardens and the city. Hope your memories of the trip make you happy and smile sometimes!
Another tour which was just amazing. We were picked up from our hotel - early start but worth it. We were given information all about the day once we arrived at the harbour air sea planes terminal - we were then left to our devices but had all the relevant information. Sea plane to Victoria takes about 30 minutes and lands right in Victoria harbour. You have free time in Victoria which is a beautiful place and it is up to you how much free time. There are buses to Butchart gardens at 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00. We decided to do a open top bus tour in the morning which took an hour - this was a great way to find out about Victoria and the surrounding area. We then had afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress which I can recommend. We got the 14:00 bus which takes about 40 minutes. I would not recommend getting a late bus as you would have no time in the gardens, getting the bus we did we managed to see everything but didn't have any spare time. If you really want to enjoy all the gardens then I would suggest getting the first bus. The gardens are simply fantastic. The boat left at 16:30 from the cove at the gardens and took about 2 hours back to Vancouver. The staff on the boat were super friendly and told us everything. WE didn't see any whales but lots of people said they had on this trip before.
What a great trip! The staff are so nice and accommodating. They picked us up from our hotel and the flight was smooth and very scenic.
We had several hours in Victoria before boarding the bus to the Gardens, which were beautiful. The boat ride back was enjoyable but it would have been nice if they had adult beverages available. Wonderful time!
We had an amazing day on this trip. Everything was well organised from pickup at our hotel, to the seaplane flight, the transport to the gardens and the fast boat home. We had plenty of time to walk around Victoria to the fisherman's wharf and spent a lovely afternoon wandering through the spectacular Butchart Gardens. This tour is highly recommended as a great way to see Victoria and the gardens in one day.
Picked up at the hotel by Peter on time and taken to collect another party before heading to the Seaplane Terminal. We could have walked to the terminal quicker but didn't know that at the time. Checked in only to find that my wife and I had been placed on separate flights! A hasty intervention by Peter and we were placed on the same plane. Very smooth and scenic flight to Victoria and plenty of time to wander around and see the sights before taking the bus to Butchart Gardens. The Gardens were fantastic and we spent approximately three hours see everything in the Gardens and having time for coffee and shopping. Headed to the jetty at the allocated time to be told that we were not booked on the return trip on the boat that was scheduled to depart and the girl at the gate said there was no Speed Boat due to leave. Panic set in but we went down to the whale watching boat that was about to depart and the very helpful Swedish lady who was a senior member of the crew sorted out the transport back. Panic over. On our way back we spoke to the crew and the whale watching boat had not seen many whales over the summer period and didn't hold out much hope for the journey back. However, we were extremely lucky to come across two pods of Orcas together which ended off a fantastic tour, despite the minor hiccups. A very worthwhile trip.
An excellent experience with so much crammed into 1 day. First time in a seaplane, amazing, a very smooth take off from Vancouver and landing in Victoria, flight took about 1/2 hour, the views were really something.
Plenty of time to spend in Victoria before taking 1 of 3 services by bus the the Butchart Gardens.
Whilst in Victoria, we took advantage of an open top bus tour around Victoria on an old Routemaster bus, great fun and a good way to appreciate beautiful Victoria. Then on to Butchart Gardens with lovely plants and garden areas. You progress through the gardens making your way to a jetty at the north end. You must make sure you are there in good time for the speed boat ride back to Vancouver, it takes approx 2 1/2 hours. This skirts around the islands around Vancouver Island and then heads back to Vancouver city. If you miss this, it will take a long time to get back to the city - 5 hrs !
All in all a really enjoyable day with lots to see.
