Our tour guide, Susan Steer, was exceptional and provided much non standard information such as showing us some Public Housing
projects in addition to the usual grand Palazzi. Susan's primary language is English and this made her a particularly effective guide for us.
She read Art History at University so could authoritatively comment on many aspects of the art we saw. Keep her on your guide list.

Monica was an excellent guide on this excellent tour of Renaissance Venice. She was able to put us right there in the Renaissance times as we wandered through Santa Croce and San Polo. Excellent!

This tour was a highlight of our trip to Venice! Our guide Cynthia has an engaging demeanor and we immediately felt a connection. That quality coupled with her extensive knowledge of Renaissance Venice made for a very meaningful tour. As it turned out, we were the only couple on the tour so it became a private experience.

Nadia was fantastic! She really knew her history, and was a fun and personable guide. I asked her so many questions, and she had the answers. She even went so far as to contact an American colleague to find some reference materials written in English for me.
This tour was great, and gave me a much better sense of the history and culture of Venice.
Thanks, Nadia! I'd take your tour again.

Our guide for this tour was Susan, a Ph.D. in art history, and a long time lover of and resident of Venice. As that suggests, we had a wonderful tour, full of detailed information about everything we saw, both in historical context, and contemporary. You will be very fortunate if Susan is your guide.
