What You Can Expect

Evening Wine Tasting Experience in Venice

Veneto's fine wines

Meet your local expert at Enoteca Estro on Calle Crosera, where your 1-hour tasting will take place. Settle into your seat and learn about the Veneto region that surrounds Venice, known for its light whites and reds due to a milder climate.

Taste four different wines from the area and listen as your guide sheds light on the complex flavors at play in your glass.

Compare the flavors of the refosco red with the full-bodied marzemino, taste the light and bubbly Prosecco, and try popular Veneto whites such as manzoni bianco, friulano, or soave.

You'll also enjoy cicchetti, traditional Venetian snacks, to complement the wine. Each small dish is paired with a different wine and, while the options vary, you can expect delicacies such as fried zucchini flowers, baccala (traditional salt cod), or arancini (rice balls).

Afterward, feel free to stay in the bar to enjoy more Veneto wine and food at your own expense.

Very enjoyable. The restaurant was a little out of the way but we enjoyed seeing a new area of Venice. We tasted 4 wines, including one white, one prosecco and two reds. All glasses of wine were generous (about 100ml). The accompanying tapas were delicious and filling. We were there about 2 hours.

Was lovely. Local bar with a knowledgable well spoken local bar attendent. They were very accommodating with our palate, and changes the 2 red tastes to 2 white. The wines were very enjoyable. I recommend this tour.

Awesome selection although we did not have someone discussing the wines to us which we like.
Great selection of wines and finger food!

I really enjoyed the location for this wine tasting it was a beautiful, modern bar with a variety of wines. The price for this tasting is very high for the 4 small tastes and 2 nibbles. We were attended to quickly, however we were hoping to get more information about each varietal, vineyard, etc. and did not get much beyond the name of the wine. We were a little rushed in order to accommodate the dinner time reservations it would have been nice to linger longer. I highly recommend visiting Estro, though I'd pay individually for each pour/snack for a better overall value.

Really good food, cute atmosphere, not difficult to find and really nice staff. Unfortunately we were the only ones there and did not receive too much information on the wines and dishes served. Otherwise- really delicious food and worth staying for dinner afterward!

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better July 2017

I am pretty sure anyone could show up at the bar and ask for a sampling of wines - there was no group and no real experience. The wines were okay but i wouldn't do this again.
