Overview

Venice is famous for its UNESCO-listed lagoon, but the city’s islands are also renowned for their handicrafts. This half-day cruise by private boat stops at Murano Island, to watch a thrilling glass-blowing demonstration, and Burano Island, to visit a lace-making factory.
  • Half-day cruise to Murano Island and Burano Island
  • Learn how Murano glass is made during a glass-blowing demonstration
  • Visit a lace-making factory on Burano Island
  • Private transport ensures a personalised experience
Meet your private guide in central Venice and head to the pier to board your private boat. Set sail around the UNESCO-listed Venice Lagoon and admire the views as you glide past San Giorgio island, Certosa island, and Sant Erasmo island.

Arrive at Murano Island and jump off for a walking tour of the tranquil island, pausing to admire the 12th-century Church of Santi Maria e Donato. Then, discover the island’s claim to fame—Murano glass—as you visit a glass factory, enjoy a traditional glass-blowing demonstration, and perhaps purchase some exquisite hand-made souvenirs.

Back on the boat, it’s a short cruise to Burano Island, where the multi-colored houses and picturesque fishing port make for some striking photo opportunities. After taking in the scenery, pay a visit to a lace factory to discover the island’s rich lace-making heritage.

After returning to the mainland, your tour ends back in San Marco Square.

Lunch at Burano

We were super happy with the tour. Relaxed and a good vibe all the way. Guide Juan Luca was fun and easy going and suggested lunch places was great. Also nice that we was a small group (due to COVID of course...). We recommend!

Nice, laid-back tour. The boat ride to Murano and Burano was great and informative. But, the glass of wine on return boat ride back to Venice was even better. Also, the glass-maker's studio and demonstration on Murano was amazing. And the glass gallery/store was nice and well-stocked.

We had a great time on this trip! The weather was beautiful, the glass factory in Murano was sooo cool to see. It was a small tour of about 15 people, the tour guide was pleasant and also informative about all the islands in the lagoon. Burano was beautiful as well, and we had the perfect amount of free time to eat lunch and explore.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered any additional questions we had. There were other tours for more and I wasn’t sure this would be good, but it was great.

Murano Glass Experience

This was great trip, Guide was great and informative. I think you should have been given more time and the demonstration could have been longer in the glass factory. With the lace making we were rushed pasted the lady and didn't really get a chance to see what she was doing. But overall it is definitely worth doing.

This tour was fabulous from start to end. Ketty our tour guide was full of information about Venice. The glass factory on Murano blew us away, the demo on glass blowing was fantastic and the gallery was even better. Burano was stunning with the lace making..had the best pizza ever there, and the colourful buildings there were so unique. All in all I would totally recommend this tour to anyone and if I return to Venice I would do it again.
