Loved the smaller group size and the artistry was amazing. Also liked that we had some free time to wander and explore.
John Luc was the best tour guy, taking us to Murano and Burano on a private boat - meeting the glass blowers and lace makers, a lovely tradition. What a great day.
The tour guide was very informative and friendly. The tour was most comprehensive especially the glass factory. Plenty of free time to wander.
I consider this tour of Murano and Burano to be the highlight of our visit to Venice. It was a foggy day but a wonderful experience that was topped off by our guide Giovanni. SO much great insight, and his hosting of a traditional Venetion meal in a Burano ristorante was fabulous.
This tour was so much better than I expected. Our tour guide, John Luca was fabulous! He gave us so much information about everything we saw. He was very knowledgeable, and friendly. The glass blowing tour was amazing, especially since we had a small group. We got to see several people making items and a glass master made several items and then had ample time to explore the shop. The tour of the church was very interesting and informative.
Burano was also wonderful. The lace maker demonstration was informative and quick. The ladies in the shop definitely wanted you to buy products but they were not overly pushy.
Our tour guide gave us the option of free time or lunch at a local restaurant. We chose the restaurant, and ordered based off John Luca's recommendations, the food was fresh and amazing, not overly expensive. Our tour guide was also great with our children. They mentioned wanting gelato and after the tour he walked us a few minutes away to a very small gelateria, we never would have noticed it. He told us it was the best gelato in Venice and he was correct! He took us inside and they showed our kids where they make the gelato fresh every day.
They also let us reschedule our tour for the next day because there was room when we did not want to go on our scheduled day due to bad weather. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking! Our family honestly enjoyed it more than being in Venice.
Excellent guide, knowledgeable and friendly. Fun and interesting experience.
The semi private tour was great. Our guide was friendly and easy to talk with on the boat trips as well as when we stopped for lunch. It felt like we saw authentic places that where not just tourist based. I have been to Muran and Burano before and the glass factory tour was great. it was interesting to watch the demonstration but also see the other workers going about there day working on there projects.

Very nice tour, well paced. Lots of time on each island to take pictures, get something to eat, and go shopping.
After a delayed start waiting for other tour members, the tour was very enjoyable and interesting. The guide was super, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The boat's captain and only crew was extremely skilled crossing the lagoon and helpful assisting me in and out if the boat.

This was a great tour. The tour guide was very knowledgable about the area and told us a lot of things about the islands of Venice while we were on the boat ride to and from Murano/Burano. Visiting the glass factory was very interesting and they would give you a good discount if you bought something. I do recommend this tour.
Tour guide was right on time. Group was about 15 people total. We took a private boat from island to island which was nice...waiting for the public transport boats would have wasted time. We toured a beautiful church in Murano before heading over to the glass factory for a private demonstration and shopping in the factory store I only bought glass ON Murano because I was warned many stores in Venice sell fake glass and rip people off. Then we headed to Burano for a private demonstration of lace making at one of the private stores. The employees really wanted people to buy the products afterward but they were NOT pushy. After, we had free time to eat and explore. Wish we could have had more time on Burano island to explore but all around this was a great tour that was a convenient way to see both islands!
Kathy was excellent, informative and very easy to talk with. Tour was 5 hours, and the waters were quite calm allowing for a pleasurable drive, even in the stifling heat . She also provided much needed info and background to our visits. The Murano part was outstanding, with a fantastic demonstration. Giovanni was very good at describing the glass factory procedure, and a great host! The souvenirs that were available for purchase were out of this world. Burano was more pretty than interesting as far as the lace labs, but still very happy to visit the island. A real winner of a tour!
Tour guide was fantastic, private launch luxurious, brilliant demonstration of the glass making and no pressure to buy the glass! Little more pressure to buy the lace which resulted in us not spending as much time looking at the beautiful items available. Relaxed time on both islands. Excellent value and definitely the best trip of its kind!
Katty was our guide for this tour and we had a great time! We took a small boat to Murano where a representative from the glass shop met us at the dock. We saw a presentation of glass blowing pitcher and solid glass horse being made before being ushered through the showroom to look around and shop. We walked as a group to the church before heading to Burano.
Katty took us to see one of the ladies creating Burano lace. She pointed out her favorite restaurant on the island and gave recommendations on what to order. She also walked us to the best place to take photos. I could have stayed in Burano all day, but alas we were only on a half day excursion. It was a great trip which ended with a toast over Prosecco, I would recommend!
This tour was exceptional! Not only did you get a demonstration on how glass was made and lace was made, but you also got a history and walking tour of the two islands. The boat ride was entertaining and informative and the tour guide was as good as it gets. We really enjoyed her! She even served sparkling wine on the boat ride back to Venice and shared some wonderful stories and information. Definitely one of the highlights of our three week trip in Italy!
Great, guide was fantastic.glass factory great, a little pushy but I guess is their business.
Excellent tour, great value! We enjoyed our day, tour guide was great! We highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in venturing out to Murano and Burano.
Our guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful.
We had a very nice time during the tour and Virginia our guide was excellent! She was very descriptive and gave us a lot of information. The only drawback was the extremely hot weather during that day but this has nothing to do with the tour as such!
It's ok. The visit to the Murano glass factory is really interesting, and the tour to the Murano island is pintoresque. The Burano part of the excursion, was a little bit boring. The town is charming though
The Murano part of the tour was mediocre as you felt you were being shepherded into a overpriced glass product buying tour - once we got over that though Burano was amazing with a great meal to boot!
The Murano glass factory was good to see the glass being blown however the factory caters for more high end pieces for sale. For normal retail items in Murano glass would be best to buy from local shops In Venice.
Burano lace factory although lovely hand finish goods, the modern person would not appreciate the work that goes into these beautiful pieces, and not much use in modern society today.
The lunch experience on Burano in itself was good, however guide pushing you into a 50 euro lunch per person was inappropriate and not being upfront at start of tour, made it a little ackward
They are one of the many company that organise tours. If you miss the 1st appointment there is no way to know the name of the boat, the precise point where the tour starts, or to see anything around you that is giving any information about these tours or this company. I can say that it seems an home made tour and probably it is.
Who answered the phone when I asked to be helped had an annoyed tone, maybe he was dreaming to do another job... But that makes the customer service poor form my prospective.
Eventually they tried to help me, but I can't say that it was a good customer service experience. When I go to the Council they're much more polite and helpful, but maybe we're just used to different quality standards...
First off I thought I was booking a private tour but this was with 15 other people. The only thing we were able to do on Murano was go to one glass factory and watch the glass blowing. There was not time to do anything else. Burano was a bust regarding the lace making factory, there was a store with one lady sitting in a chair tatting. Thank goodness we had some time to walk around and I could take photos of the beautiful houses. Not what I was expecting at all.
