Experience the dark side of Venice on a 1.5-hour evening walking tour, highlighting the 'Floating City's' ghosts and legends. Explore both the Castello and Cannaregio neighborhoods, meandering along dimly-lit alleyways and quiet canals while learning about Venice's more sinister side. Your guide will regale you with stories of the city's most notorious figures, from ancient times through present day, leaving you with a whole new 'appreciation' for this 'Bride of the Sea.'
This was a lot of fun and our guide was fun to listen to. We talked about the info we learned throughout our stay pointing out the ghost that may be roaming around. Fun!
Such a fun way to learn about the lesser known stories of Venice. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Tour started off excellently and the guide was very interesting and showed us lots of different aspects of Venice BUT in the last half hour she walked too fast and seemed as if she just wanted the tour to finish which was a great shame
This was disappointing Our guide spoke broken English and also explained each stop in German so we only heard four stories three of which we learned on other tours. I don't think this tour was worth the money unless you are not taking any other tours in Venice.
This was a disappointing tour. Our guide spoke fluent English, but I really dont feel she was prepared. We started to walk and it was crowded so we continued to walk until she abruptly had us stop. Each of our 4 stops seemed to be she was telling ghost stories off the cuff and rather silly. One stop was a plain square with no activity going on and really not much to look at. The only redeeming value was seeing the Rialto bridge at night and you can do that on your own.
Tour was half in German, half in English, for a total time of 1.5 hours. That definitely needs to be noted on the description page, because if I would have known that, I would not have booked this tour. We were so bored after the first 20 minutes, we left.
Do not recommend this tour. It would have been better had microphone and headsets been provided, or if those there for the English version 98, did not have to lose interest and stand around waiting for the German version to be re-explained to the few others on the tour.
