This gives one a chance to chat and enquire with the escort while waiting for the boat to dock.
Worth the price of the ticket.
The cost? Outrageous!
But worth it for bragging rights and a chance to see this glittering Jewel in all her splendour.
It will be your last chance to privately savour this treasure before you are flung into the hordes of fellow tourists
This went absolutely perfectly! I smooth and satisfying arrival in Venice at the end of a long and complicated day of travel.
We were met in the train station by our guide. She got us on our water taxi and stayed with us until we arrived at our hotel.
Excellent service met immediately off the train and escorted to our water taxi. The representative of the transfer company had arranged portering for our luggage and we went straight to the head of the queue to our waiting taxi. The water taxi trip was amazing as we got our first glimpses of the Grand Canal on our way to our hotel.
Absoutely the way to go. After flying for 20 hours we arrived in Venice tired as soon as we got our luggage a man holding a sign with our name greeted us and brought us to the boat. They loaded our luggage and we had a beautiful boat drive to our hotel going through the grand canal and other canals. What a amazing way to start a vacation.
They were waiting for us when we got off the train, took care of our luggage and got us quickly to our hotel.
We wanted to leave early due to illness and the operator made it all happen with ease! Job well done!

Our guide was waiting for us when we arrived on the train. She escorted us to our boat, which then took us to the door of our hotel. Well worth a few extra euros!
Saves time and frees you up not to worry about getting around.
We ended up driving to the airport to return our car. When I talked to the transfer agent about getting transporation from the airport vs the originally intended train, they were very efficient and changed it immediately to leaving from the airport! We were so pleased. They loaded our luggage on a car and pushed it to the dock and we were off!! Of course, the lightening storm had us a bit nervous, but the boat captain was calm and reassuring. Right to the front door of our hotel, San Sebastiano. Awesome and we will use Viator again.
There was a representative waiting for us as we got off the train and she took us directly to our water taxi.
Pick was a little by late. Great experience to orient yourself on arrival in Venice.
Well worth the money as we were guided from our late train into Venice to our hotel. The staff were lovely and helped with everything.
Great way to arrive at your hotel on a rainy day in Venice and on a busy day at the railway station

We would highly recommend this service and guide/company with one suggestion. On the instructions for meeting, it states to meet at the Garage Communale near a ticket office. Once off the train, we inquired as to where that was and were directed outside to the water where this vendor normally pulls up. We waited for about 20 min then asked a local if we could use their phone to call the local office. The guide was standing at the end of the train platform with a sign with our name on it and the porter. If we'd known that, we would have looked for that specifically. Luckily, the station was easily navigated with luggage and the guide was very friendly and helpful once we connected.
Our young man was very helpful and rode with us for awhile. He pointed out various buildings along the way and gave some details too.
Directions are not written well. The idea is great but the tour guide did not hold up the sign high enough above the sea of heads.
If you want to arrive in Venice in style, then this is the way to go. A bit misleading as there will be a few other people sharing the taxi with you, but it's preferable than a cramped water bus.
We waited almost an hour for our water taxi to pick us up AND it was raining. Both our luggage and we were soaked by the time he arrived. Apparently, the taxi was only called once we had arrived. This was a very busy time and the taxis refused our trip because it was such a short one. Had we known how very close we were to our hotel, we probably would have walked. The person meeting us was extremely frustrated but remained very attentive and empathetic to our situation.
The girl who met us at the station was great however the 2 water taxi drivers had no idea where the hotel was and just dropped us at a bridge with our bags heavy ! pointed and left .
Totally unsatisfactory and unwelcome start in Venice
