Asked our guide, Barbara, to show us hidden Venice and had a fascinating walk around the back streets learning about the city and the people. We went at our own pace stopping off for coffee when tired rather than being rushed from place to place. Highly informative and amusing. We all agreed that on future city visits we would book a guided tour to help acquaint ourselves with our surroundings.
Grace is from Venice. She is knows a tremendous amount of history and stories about the region and its relationship to other countries and cultures throughout time. She is also a very helpful and kind person. Grace's tour provided my wife and me with the perfect start and an excellent overview of Venice ranging from history and locations and the development of this beautiful city.
While expensive, a tour with Grace was well, well worth it -- especially at the start of our visit -- so we could better understand the significance of what we saw and experienced for the rest of our stay in this spectacular and wondrous place.
Thank you Grace!

Excellent overview with a lot a local insights from our guide. She really knew Venice and made the tour really interesting.
We enjoyed the tour of some of the less touristy areas of Venice and the guide herself, Claudia, was interesting and fun.
Very informative, full of details, full of history, and i absolutely loved how much information she gave on economic and political history of venice, the important families that shaped her. Really helps one understsand humanity. Loved.
Francesca was great! Tour was exactly what we were looking for --- nice walk about in the neighborhoods with excellent background info.
we toured Venice with Giuliana. Giuliana was great. We didn't want to see the normal tourist sights and she understood exactly what we wanted to see and took us in places where the locals go. She gave us a good insight on the history of the city which helped us immensely on our sightseeing the following days
This was a fabulous tour that exceeded all of our expectations. Barbara, our guide, spent half a day with us and our daughter walking through different parts of Venice that tourists normally never get to see. Barbara was amazing - a true Venitian, who put the entire city structure into its historical context. Keeping a 16 year-old engaged and interested during a 3 hour walking tour is a challenged, but there wasn't a moment that any one of us would have wanted to miss. We made a few stops along the way to get some amazing food, some prosecco, looked at genuine Venitian masks not made in China, and found hidden courtyards in parts of Venice that were completely empty - undiscovered by tourists who roam from site to site. The tour was the highlight of our stay in Venice and we stayed at a Suite in the Danieli, so the bar was set high!
This tour was exactly what we wanted...we had already done St Marks and the Doge's palace and we wanted something off the tourist path.
Barbara A. was amazing! She know exactly the type of Venice sites we wanted to see and took us far away from the crowds. My kids loved her explanations, her enthusiasm, and her energy. Ask for her and you will not be disappointed.
Our tour guide was Barbara, she was extremely knowledgeable as you would expect from someone who still lives in Venice, not commuting in from the mainland. She took the time to find out our interests and tailor the tour to suit us. My wife and I learnt a lot about Venice, and it helped enormously to orient ourselves on our first day in the city, we spotted a few places that we would then visit on our own in the days after the tour. So I would highly recommend having a tour like this early in your visit to any city, particularly a rabbit warren like Venice, and would like to say a big thanks to Barbara who made our stay more pleasurable by helping us sort out in our own minds what we could see in the limited time we had available.
This tour was amazing and we loved it. We could not have asked for a better guide.
This proved to very well worth while the guide was extremely knowledgable and organised the tour to accomodate the areas we had suggested that we wanted to visit ,areas not usually on the tourist trail.Gosh it was wonderful to see the real Venice to see the history without the' bling '.We stopped and had a drink and snack at a real Venitian barcoa and see really how life goes on away from the tourist arena. So much information from the guide who took time to get to know us so she could really tailor the tour to us .It wsa so worth it.
We had a lovely tour learning about the architecture of Venice, the canal and the people of the city. Venice is my favorite place on Earth so have been many times and really enjoyed learning from a local.

My family and I enjoyed our tour of the Venice very much. Although we've visited Venice on two previous occasions, this was our first guided tour of the city --- and it was amazing. The architecture and the historical imagery was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking -- the Canals are truly a unique treasure. Our tour guide Francesca was wonderful -- she was very friendly and personable and she was very knowledgeable and informative. Our tour was amazing and we strongly recommend it for anyone who visits Venice.
Very nice tour The guide was informative and very pleasant. We saw several areas that are not frequented by tourists. Great way to get to know the city.
Absoluyrly fabulous and well worth the cost. our guide declared at the beginning that she wanted us to have wonderful memories of our visit to Venice and in this she succeeded. Fluent English and knowledge of her city mad this tour fascinating. We visited parts of Venice that we probably wouldn't have found on our own. Even though it was my third visit to Venice in many years this was fresh, exciting, and satisfying. Guide suggested cachet to visit, and ways to get around. Splendid and would do again.
Juliana was fantastic and great about taking us to off the beaten path places.
Our tour of Venice was informative, exciting and comprehensive. We walked the streets of Venice with our guide Barbara who was as interesting and personable as could be. My wife and I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the real Venice as seen through the eyes of a native resident.
Our guide was Barbara, she was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a special place we wanted to visit, she had never been there but she got us in. Well worth the money.
The tour was great. Guide Claudia was personable and knowledgeable.
Barbara provided an insider's view of Venice that was both interesting and entertaining. She was an excellent guide!!!!!
Francesca our guide was fabulous. Really interesting and definitely worth doing.
The only comment I would make is that it might be better that a table is booked upfront by the guide so that we do not have to spent time looking for somewhere to have a drink. We must have gone to 4 different place before we got a table to sit down and have a drink and snack. But all in all really good.
