THE ENVY OF ALL GONDOLA RIDES! MUSIC MAKES IT AWESOME!!!

You're in Venice, you have to ride a Gondola. We mostly saw people sitting in the hot sun on a boat tour in silence. Most looked a bit miserable, but not us. We had live music. This included a vocalist and an accordion player who also sang. They were like best buds having a fun time on the boat. I didn't see any other musicians on a gondola our 3 days in Venice. Everyone outside stopped to catch video of the charming music. It was a blast. This is the only way to do it.

Quiet Ride

Definitely need an hour long gondola ride—30 minutes wouldn’t be enough. Gondola driver didn’t say a word on the entire trip, so other than the Bridge of Sighs, we don’t know what we saw.

Stinky gondola ride!

Extremely disappointed. Thought it would be romantic. It was very congested. It was a Monday morning and the garbage was being picked up. You would think with all the canals there would be a better route without following a stinky garbage boat. Won’t recommend this tour.

On our Monday morning tour, garbage was being collected and the smell was terrible. Our Gondolier was yelling across to other gondoliers versus allowing us to have a pleasant/romantic experience. The congestion was horrible. Don’t waist your money.

The Gondola ride was right on time and located as indicated in the description of the reservation (in front of the hotel). Our Gondola conductor was amazing: he sang, shared some brief historical details of Venice and gave us some private time to soak it all in while enjoying our ride.

This trip was £80 per gondola If you paid the company on the day. (Max price they are allowed to charge by government rules) Cost £114 with Viator. Feel cheated by Viator and very angry, would not use again.

Don’t skip a gondola ride!

This gondola ride was the highlight of our trip to Venice. We departed around 20.15 and it was the perfect time to take a beautiful, peaceful ride through the small canals of Venice. The sun was getting ready to set, yet we could still photograph the beautiful sites. The canals and sidewalks were quiet and the ride was incredibly serene. Our gondolier was kind and attentive. We probably would have been fine purchasing the ride on site but knowing we had the reservation for the time and area we wanted was a stress reliever. We arrived a bit early and had drinks at a cafe overlooking the Canal. We then asked if we could take our ride a bit earlier - they let us walk right on!! Wonderful experience!

This trip costs 132.32 euros compared to the 80 euro price if you book once you are in Venice with the gondolier direct. All the rubbish about not sharing with others is pure fabrication. This is profiteering through and through and Viator should not be working with this company. AVOID.

Wowza this was stressful to find and get to and there are a lot of gondola rides you can just walk up to and buy. Our guy did not speak at all and point anything out at all. It’s better to just find a spot you like in Venice and do a gondola ride from there. Do not bother booking a tour or booking ahead. It is not worth it at all.

A fantastic experience and a must do for anyone visiting Venice. Once you are in Venice however the set price for all rides is €80 for half an hour so significantly cheaper than charged here.

It was a good experience taking the Gondola ride in Venice. No waiting at the counters, we got into the boat quickly. However, the punter was talking a lot to others on the street/canals which created bit of nuisance after a while. Although it was supposed to be guided tour, he hardly showed/talked about the spots en-route. Overall, Venice canals are beautiful and it’s always worth taking a gondola ride when you are there.

Very nice experience

We booked this as a first day in Venice experience and after a very long day getting off cruise ship & finding our way to Venice it did not disappoint. It was a family experience and they were kind enough to take us before our scheduled time which was most appreciated. We had a very nice time and are pleased we got to do a Gondola ride!
