A tour like this is a must have if you'd like to see St. Mark's Basilica as you can get right in without having to wait for the line. That ticket alone was worth the price. Then Andre was also an excellent guide. He was funny with a lot of history. He knew when to get through a section and when to take a break to let the tour rest a moment and take in the sights.

Fantastic guide, with a huge knowledge of Venice, she was a Venetian and showed us all how proud she was of her city. Unfortunately, on a person note, I had forgotten how many bridges with steps there are in Venice and I have a problem with my knees, so this proved very difficult for me. The visit to St Mark's alone was worth the ticket price, so if anyone else is in the same position as me, they might want to skip the rest of the tour, which would have been the sensible thing for me to do.

You have to go in the museum in St. Mark's. The mosaics are absolutely awesome and show incredible Biblical scenes throughout. I personally thought the mosaics there on the ceiling were more impressive than St Peter's in the Vatican. Also, make sure to see the original horses from Constantinople's hippodrome. They're inside the museum as well. It's an awesome piece of history from an amazing empire that once flourished for a millennium - the Byzantines.

Great tour! Even with my bad knees, the length was of the tour was just right at the end though my knees had enough, so give it a try. Will you ever be back in Venice? You just have to see as much as possible in Venice, so this is a great summary tour. And then have a nice lunch planned to let you know you can rest after the tour.
