Excellent, very informative, nice pace given the size of the group, we never felt like we were being hurried along. Both the walk and boat tour were amazing, well worth it
Great experience and would recommend your company to our friends.
excellent, tour was very good lots of info about Venice, skip the line saved hours of queuing. Boat tours was also excellent, well worth the money
What a great tour!!!
Marina was extremely knowledgeable and very funny.
This was a really interesting tour, made even better by a knowledgeable and welcoming guide.
Great walking tour guide that provided good information. It poured rain during part of our walking tour but that provided a fond memory we'll always have. The tour guide just plodded forward and gave us a great overview.
Definitely recommend this tour. Small walking groups and only 8 on each boat trip. The guides were really friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth the money!
Very good tour guide. Did gain a lot of knowledge of the area and the boat ride was the best way to see Venice as long as you were in the back or front of the boat. Otherwise it's impossible to really get to see everything if cooped up in the small inside area... Fortunately, was in the back of the boat and stood up to see everythingl
The group was a manageable size 22 and the tour guide very informative. The tour through Venice was good covering the main attractions around the square and others up smaller alleys. However, while the skip the line tour of St Mark's allowed us to avoid the long line of people waiting to go in, it just had us waiting in a different line for guided tours. It took a long time to get in and we then just followed the set line through St Mark's with everyone else and out again in about 5 minutes. The boat tour was great with the participants split into smaller groups 8-9 and ferried around the Grand and many minor canals in a water taxi, again with an excellent tour guide. Highly recommended.
Our guide Federica was great. We saw Venice in the pouring rain but we were able to experience the high tide in St. Mark's Square so felt like a local. St. Mark's basilica was beautiful. We opted out of the boat tour only because it was still raining in the afternoon and we didn't want to get wet again but I'm sure it would have been fun!
The Venice in One Day Tour was well worth the experience. The guides were very knowledgeable and passionate. The ability to Skip the line made the value of the tour. Venice being visited by so many and being able to move the day along to get everything in made our visit when our stay is limited.
The meeting place was easy to find and the process was very organized. To try and get it all in on your own including all the knowledge and information is almost impossible. We left Venice feeling as though we got it all in.
Highly recommend this tour.
This Viator 'Skip the Line: Venice in One Day Including Boat Tour' was fantastic value, helped enormously by the quality of the guides who spoke very clearly and knowledgeably. I must also comment on the very good sound quality of the 'radios' for the walking tour. We had Rosanna as our group guide for the walking tour who was full of information on Venice, it's canals and buildings. To enter St Marks we had to step on raised duck boards due to there being slight flooding caused by a high tide, quite a common experience apparently. The walking tour finished at the Rialto Bridge allowing us to make our own way back.
For the evening boat tour there had been a slight mistake, where some of us had been given the wrong meeting time. This however was to our advantage, as an extra 'water taxi' was used and instead of about 10-12 in a boat we only had 6 plus the 'driver' and Christina the guide. The boat tour, under a clear blue sky and warm evening breeze, was probably the highlight of our stay and Christina did a marvelous job explaining the history of the town, its buildings and surrounding waterways. To stand up in the boat as it cruised up through the Grand Canal will be a memory to savour.
Great tour, the company know the best time to take you to St. Marks Basilica as the church is only lit from 11:30-12:30 otherwise its very hard to see inside the church. Tour guide was great gave some lunch tips and gelato tips on the tour. The boat tour was very cool, sit in the back so you can peak your head out and take pictures as you float down the canals.
Thoroughly enjoyed our tours and our guides Marina and Christina were very personable and professional. Informative and entertaining.... 10 out of 10!!
Our tour guide was amazing. She gave great information and was very pleasant. It was a great overview of the city.
Tour was very informative, both St. Marks and the boat. St.Marks was crazy busy with tourists, boat cruises. Next time we will check the cruise schedule and plan a day without so many people. The boat tour was 2 hours after the tour ended, but that gave us a chance to rest and eat. Both tour guides were very knowledge and answered questions. I would highly recommend this adventure.
Great tour guide and fun boat ride would recommend it to others
Absolutely wonderful and informative.
Our guide was born and raised in Venice so she was very helpful with local cuisine.
A very good city tour to do - we did it on the first day and so glad we did. We were shown around the main bits of Venice by the excellent guide. Everyone gets an earpiece and they can hear the guide clearly we saw other tours out there where the guide had to shout loudly for the group to hear because in certain areas the places are very busy and noisey with tourists, having the earpieces was great for this. Our guide was called Ele and she was very informed about the city as she has lived there all of her life. He learnt about Venician history which was nice to know as we walked around. The boat tour at the end was also enjoyable. I'm definitely glad we booked this.
This is a great tour, starting with a walking tour of the walkways of Venice. Our guide took us through the busy areas and then through the quiet backstreets where the local live, eat and play. We saw first hand their lifestyle in Venice. Our tour was filled with great stories and tidbits of knowledge and helped enlighten our group with the real Venice....and its even more beautiful than imagined. Please note the tour does not go back to the starting point but leaves you in the middle of Venice and you need to find your own way back. It's not a problem as this is the best way to explore and it's easy to navigate.
The second half of the tour is the same as far as the stories and knowledge but it takes place on a boat exploring the busy waterways and the less travelled areas as well. This is an excellent tour that has a nice break in-between for lunch.
I skipped out on the first portion because we wanted to freely roam the city and came back for the boat tour. They assign you to an assigned boat time at 4 or 5 pm 8ppl per boat. Guide was great and view was awesome!
This tour was great to learn about Venice and its history. It also helps to skip the massive lines at the basilica. We had Marco for our tour, his very entertaining. The taxi boat cruise around the Island was one of my favorites, it gives you an opportunity to see most of what the island has to offer
